The country produces 251 million tonnes of grain every year, but every fourth Indian sleeps hungry. According to a report by the Indian Institute of Public Administration, 23 million tonnes of pulses, 120 million tonnes of fruits and 21 million tonnes of vegetables in India deteriorate every year due to a malfunction in the delivery system.

Whenever you go shopping for food, buy wisely; Try to buy only those things that can stay fresh for a long time. This will also protect you from unnecessary waste.

 Store foods properly. Maximum wastage of food is caused by improper storage or non-storage.

 Never refrigerate foods like potatoes, tomatoes, cucumber, onions, garlic, etc., always keep them in an open and dry place.

 Somehow people neglect to look at the date of manufacture and expiry of the article they purchased. These foods become useless after their expiry date. In such a situation, always try whenever you buy canned food; First, check its manufacture and expiration date.

 If you want to prevent food wastage, then periodically clean the fridge. In this way, you will be able to keep your refrigerator clean and hygienic, while you will be able to protect yourself from diseases caused by eating old and stale food.

 Fruits and vegetables become a little colorless, and then they become household garbage. Therefore, it is advisable to bring more and more fruits and vegetables so that they can be consumed within 2 or 3 days.
