What is the Effect of Online teaching and Social Media on the life of youth of India ?

Due to the lockdown in India, most of the people lost their jobs and children discontinue to going into school, people looking for alternative source for their income. Many goes into software field while others choose social media as way of earning. On one hand it makes the life for some people easy while on the other hand it made worst for someone else.

POSITIVE IMPACT OF ONLINE TEACHING AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Where children not going to school due to lockdown, government took the decision to teaching to the students on their phone. Now student can access class in their home, interacting with teacher, asking doubt and learn new things. It makes convenient for the teacher to teach them online as they haven't moved to any other place for teaching. The students have now access to millions of  study material apart from their own syllabus which they  can learn on their own. Now teacher can present more interacting way for teaching through images and video. On the other hand, if we talk about the positive side of social media, it emerges with thousands of new scope for information and job opportunities. A long time before social media is limited to as a source of entertainment but as technology emerges, it now contains a thousand of opportunities to earn and showing talent also sharing of useful information. These are the platforms which provides you income in return for your talent. Here you don't need any kind of degree or education just a mobile device and internet, only those two requirements are required for accessing these services.

Negative impact of Online teaching and Social Media Platform

As we saw how these technology helps in making things easier in our lives, now talking about the negative impact they create. As almost whole thing gone online, so students spent more time on their phones, covering their all online classes, then their social media and many more online friends, sparing more time on watching online content. All of these make interaction with their family and friends in real world less, which in turn create conflicts and anger issues in them, making it difficult to communicate.

Not having sufficient knowledge for surviving any far from home location

This generally refers to the college or university students, as they step out to another location for higher studies they see different culture and learns to adapt the nature of another location, interact with new friends, learn their methodology. But these things happens on a very less extent in online scenario making it difficult for the future, when they'll have to move to another location.

Easier to fool teacher in attending class and exams

The worst part till now is that students learn how to escape from online class, how to find answer from the internet without getting caught. Our mind always looks for pleasure instead of doing hard work, that's why student used to watch movies and other online video during their class time, causing them unable to focus on their studies. In exam time also, students prefer online cheating instead of genuinely participating in the exam, which results in false evaluation of their grades and knowledge. This is not only effecting education of students but also effecting the deserving candidates for grabbing a good opportunity. Talking about negative impacts of social media on our youth. Many of our youth under the wrong influence starts making content just for the shake of getting more money, they create cringe content consider it as a cool thing and fake following attraction in the hope of getting recognize by people. Some even left their studies and starts copying their fake ideals which doesn't have knowledge of humanity, morality and society. These things give rise to crimes and creating discrimination. Recently a case in New Delhi happens in which a girl is beaten by a family, they shaved her head and make her face black with oil, in this crime involvement of 15 years old boy who touched her inappropriately, what is the cause of this kind of event, lack of knowledge, wrong influence, lack of morality. Youth in India learning these things online from social media, where there is a less amount of informative and knowledgeable content and more of harmful activity and acts which promotes violence and hateful speech, online abusing etc. which they learn from such platform.

CONCLUSION

Technology is a boon for us only, if we utilize it for the wellness of family and society and world, learning something useful and informative, politely interacting with people online, otherwise it considered as a curse for us.
