According to details, a partnership between Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority and MBC Group unveiled the Saudi version of the international 'Idol' talent show franchise on Saturday. GEA Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh tweeted that General Entertainment Authority and MBC have partnered to launch the first season of "Saudi Idol," which will begin in December.
According to Arab media, the Saudi Idol program will try to highlight local talent, mainly in Riyadh, with a four-member jury that includes Saudi singer Aseel Abu Bakr, Emirati singer and actress Ahlam, popular Arab singer Asala and Iraqi- Saudi singer and musician Majid Al Muhandis will also be in attendance.
