What is the condition of students after lockdown and what are the affects of taking online classes ?

As we all know, in India, the government had imposed lockdown due to coronavirus that was rapidly spreading all over the world, and the symptoms of the coronavirus are cough, cold, sneezing, fever, and some other respiratory symptoms. It came from Wuhan, China, in December 2019. It was first identified in India on 31 December 2019.

That had a big impact on the societal and educational level, mainly on the students. We know the schools and colleges were closed.

Due to COVID-19, the last 2 year was very tough for everyone, although COVID-19 is the main thing to blame for this educational disruption.

It took many lives, and it's hard to explain how many people had to suffer.

Due to  COVID-19, the government had decided to take online classes, except online classes, there was no option left during that harsh condition. It will also affect our future employment.

Why is it a bad idea to take online classes?

It was not an appropriate idea for students because we all know how the online classes were going, and online classes completely changed students' points of view towards their studies.

Most of the students were not serious, and some couldn't be studied properly because of the environment, some don't have phones, some don't have a good network, and more like this.

The most important thing for a student is a good environment that only had been in a school. Studying at home is not helpful as studying at school. Our home environment is different from our school environment. There is a difference between both environments.

It mostly affected teenage students. It is because teenagers are when we have to be straightforward and focused on our goals/dreams.

The graph is showing that most of the students were using smartphones for their online classes.

We have found that minimum to minimum they had to spend 4-5 hours in front of the screen for online classes, according to our research a person should have to spend on his smartphone only 3 hours and 15 min, it's the sufficient time for a person on a screen.

But if we talk about the students who had to spend 4 to 5 hours a day in front of the screen to attend the online classes due to coronavirus, that is really horrible to hear and harmful for the students.

If we talk about primary students , they were also spending 4-5 hours a day normally in front of the screen to attend the online classes . It was hazardous for the students of the first three grades. They are the kids, and spending this much time on smartphones is more effective for them.

Whether you are a school student or a   teacher both of you want to go back to your normal routine , because not only students even teachers also had to face many difficulties in online teaching.

It also affects the student's happiness. As we talked about earlier, the environment plays a big role in our life as if they meet their friends and enjoy what they used to do in pre-COVID days.

What they usually do in their normal lives before the COVID was completely blocked after the lockdown. They were not able to meet their friends in person.

The overall result of the students before and after the lockdown.

If we analysis of the data of board results before and after the lockdown , we have found that more than 80% students have scored 95% in class 12th more than 70,000 students scored 95%.

If we talk about class 10th results of this year is a total of 1,84,358 students have scored above 90% marks on boards, out of which 41,804 students had scored 95% on boards.

The pass percentage went from 76.95% in 2019 to 95.88% in 2021 of class 10th result, and if we check the pass percentages of class 12th, we have found that from 83.4% in 2019 went to 95.4% in 2021.

In our research we have found that the exams that held before the lockdown of class 12th only 83.4% of students were pass and only 71.91% student's were pass in class 10th .

It's really shocking for us how the pass percentage increases graphically without any hard work of students. That's how it effective for our future employments.

The main motive of the exams is to check the ability, creativeness, intelligence, etc. of a student and how they are performing in exams, but through online exams, teachers were not satisfied with the students' good marks because they didn't give them a chance exam honestly.

In a survey, only 11% of students are satisfied with the online classes but the other students are not. The rest of them said they couldn't understand anything inthe online exa,m so how do we expect them to appear in the offline exam. On the other than,d many students said that they appreciated having a well-planned work week and didn't appreciate "surprise" assignments online anymore than they did in class. That's why the government conducted the exams online for students.

But for the good marks they didn't gave the exams honestly, in fact, most of them cheated in exam and got full marks only their teacher knew who and how much marks he/she had ability to get. I don't think online classes were as useful as I expected.

The mental health of the students after lockdown.

We have found that 34.4% of students have felt stressed sometimes in a week , 22.6% of students stressed often a week and 15.1% of students are always stressed due to the worst  condition of the coronavirus.

Overall, 69.8% of stude Are stressed about their studies, and 78.5% of students are not comfortable with online classes.

Many adult students gave the entrance exams but due to lockdown imposed by the government for the safety of people, they had to wait and after lockdown their age were crossed and they were couldn't give the exam because of the overage.

It was obvious for a person to feel bad about his exam after they struggled alot and how much they had to wait for his goals and dreams. But after all, they couldn't do anything. They had to accept the result and moved on with no hopes.

So, that was how the conditions of students and how many problems they had to face during the pandemic.

Also, the board's students who had done nothing in online classes don't take the online classes seriously. That's why the environment plays a big role in our life.

Since the beginning of the covid epidemic, Rejkjavik university has regularly conducted surveys among it's students know how they feel , how the studying at home is going and many more things .

During the first wave of the coronavirus we have found that 49% of students said that they felt rather bad . The surveys conducted in May and August this number went down to 20% about 11% of students said they are not comfortable with online classes.

Online learning is hard for everyone for many reasons from missing crucial parts of your learning, to not being able to access your education because of the internet, online learning has been a rough adjustment.

To complete the gap of studies in student's life. What government had done?

As we all know, class 10th and 12th are both important years for students. In such a case, students were not satisfied with online teaching. Many students have told us that they want online and offline examinations to ensure the balance of how much they really understand in online teaching.

After the survey government found that most of the students request to reduced their syllabus in session 2021-2022.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation , the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reduced the 10th and 12th syllabus by almost 30% .

The government took a step in the education system, but they also took a step towards controlling the increasing cases of patients affected by a coronavirus in India. India saw a single-day rise of 25,072 new COVID-19 cases , the lowest in 160 days , while active cases declined from 3,33,924 to 1.03 % of the total infected people.

In our researches, we have found that the most harmed human organ by COVID-19 is the lungs. We all know coronavirus is not completely in our control, so we should follow precautions that are provided by the government.
