WHAT is the blood pressure and its effects????

Every thing you need to Know about hypertension

Hypertension or high blood pressure often produces no symptoms, but it can increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and other serious health conditions. Medication and lifestyle choices can help manage hypertension.

Read on to learn why a person’s blood pressure can increase and what the symptoms are.

This article also explains how a person can monitor their blood pressure and discusses ways to keep it within a typical range.

Finally, we answer some common questions about the condition.

  What is hypertension??

Blood pressure is the force that a person’s blood exerts against the walls of their blood vessels. This pressure depends on the resistance of the blood vessels and how hard the heart has to work.

Certain conditions, medications, and health factors can increase this pressure.

The systolic reading of 130 mm Hg refers to the pressure as the heart pumps blood around the body. The diastolic reading of 80 mm Hg refers to the pressure as the heart relaxes and refills with blood.

Hypertension is a primary risk factor for cardiovascular disease, including strokeheart attackheart failure, and aneurysm. Managing blood pressure is vital for preserving health and reducing the risk of these dangerous conditions.

A person with hypertension may not notice any symptoms. Without detection, hypertension can damage the heart, blood vessels, and other organs, such as the kidneys.

It is vital to check blood pressure regularly.

The heart pumps blood into the arteries, and the force of the blood pushing against blood vessel walls is called blood pressure. Arteries carry the blood throughout the body. High blood pressure is also known as hypertension and is very dangerous in many different ways. One way is that it makes the heart have to work harder in order to pump the blood to the body.  It contributes to hardening of the arteries and lastly, it also contributes to heart failure. A healthy heart is

 Blood pressure causes affects

Essential to life and having high blood pressure, it is not healthy for the heart. It has been proven that there are many different causes that have been linked to high blood pressure.

Firstly, for most, there are some risk factors that play a role in those that have…show more content…
Such things include smoking, obesity, the lack of physical activity, too much salt, too much alcohol, stress, chronic kidney failure, thyroid problems, older age, genetics, and family history. The exact cause of high blood pressure is unknown.

In some cases, it is not known what is causing one to have high blood pressure.

Normal blood pressure readings should be lower than 120/80. People who have blood pressure readings higher than normal should see a doctor and take action on how to lower their blood pressure. Blood pressure is highly dangerous, and some instances result in death if remains untreated.

High Blood Pressure and How it affects Family Members INTRODUCTION High Blood Pressure occurs when there is high pressure in the arteries and the blood vessels are narrow or stiff, which makes the heart pumps harder to get blood through the rest of the body. High Blood Pressure is a health issue

Symptoms of this disease include frequent urination, thirst, Decreasing blood pressure or managing it to maintain it at a normal range can decrease the risk by double. The ideal recommended blood pressure is 120/80 and under. Decreasing the amount of salt in the diet, avoiding high cholesterol foods and eating more fruits and vegetables can decrease blood pressure

One out of every three Americans has this traitor disease. If you have blood pressure which is higher than normal, stroke and heart attack is only an inch closer, and you may never know when it hits you. There are hardly any high blood pressure symptoms to look out for, that’s why it helps to always be at check for your blood pressure regularly. If you have parents, relatives or family members

INTRODUCTION High blood pressure is one of the most common old age health issues and is one of the major risk factors for cardiovascular diseases. People over the age of 65 suffer mostly from isolated systolic hypertension with increased pulse pressure, resulting from loss of arterial elasticity. There are two types, of essential hypertension and secondary hypertension. There are a number of pathophysiological mechanisms of a permanent increase in BP in old age, similarly to younger age. In old age. Hypertension

Environmental factors are overweight/obesity, bad diet, high dietary sodium, stress, lack of physical activity, smoking and alcohol consumption. Higher degree of BP control can be achieved by providing a care source, maximum adherence, and minimizing therapeutic lethargy. The targeted technique to be followed includes many interventions to raise the awareness among people, provide the right treatment, and control for individuals. Team-base care system is the latest...

The management of hypertension in patients can improve their overall health and reduce the risk of other comorbidities that can arise from being untreated, especially those newly diagnosed. Orem’s theory poses the concept of self-care and the abilities that patients have to improve their self-care. An individual’s ability to perform self-care is defined as the practice of activities that individuals initiate and perform on their own behalf in maintaining life, health, and well-being. This can include the use of self-blood

Cardiovascular Diseases (CVDs) are the number one cause of death globally, as many people still their lives to deaths from CVDs than from any other cause. An estimated 17.9 million people died from CVDs in 2016, representing 31% of all global deaths. Out of these deaths, 85% are due to heart attack and stroke. Hypertension, also known as high or raised blood pressure, is a global public health issue. It attributes to the burden of heart disease, stroke and kidney

Hypertension is a very dangerous condition, and it is because of the heart problems that it can cause a person. “Hypertension is a disease whose chief characteristic is high blood pressure. High blood pressure occurs when the blood, being pumped from your heart, pushes too hard against the walls of your veins” (Jenkins 2). Mainly it is very detrimental when a child has high blood pressure, when they have this heart disease it can affect them more in their adult

  Strategies of blood pressure

High blood pressure (BP) is a major public health problem in Pakistan, and its prevalence is rapidly increasing among urban and rural populations. Reducing systolic and diastolic BP can decrease cardiovascular risk, and this can be achieved by non-pharmacological (lifestyle measures) as well as pharmacological means

Lifestyle changes should be the initial approach to hypertension management and include dietary interventions (reducing salt, increasing potassium, alcohol avoidance, and multifactorial diet control), weight reduction, tobacco cessation, physical exercise, and stress management. A number of pharmaceutical agents, well evidenced by large randomized clinical trials, are available for initial treatment of high BP.

Channel blockers (CCB), angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, and angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB). In view of the recent clinical trials data, some international guidelines suggest that CCB, ACE inhibitors or ARB and not beta-blockers or diuretics should be the initial therapy in hypertension management.

Comprehensive hypertension management focuses on reducing overall cardiovascular risk by lifestyle measures, BP lowering and lipid management and should be the preferred initial treatment approach.

Prospective Studies Collaboration analysis on influence of high blood pressure on cardiovascular mortality. Reduction of usual systolic BP (upper panel) and diastolic BP (lower panel) is associated with a lower hazard ratios (hazard ratio <1.0) for mortality from stroke, ischemic heart disease (IHD) as well as other vascular causes. The hazard ratios are much more in the younger age-groups, indicating more benefit by BP reduction at these age-groups

There is, therefore, a need to lower BP in all groups of patients. This can be achieved by non-pharmacological (lifestyle measures) as well as pharmacological means

Initial management of hypertension uses a two-pronged approach, with emphasis on lifestyle measures and add-on drug management

Non-pharmacological therapy (or lifestyle management) has an important role in both non-hypertensive and hypertensive individuals. In non-hypertensive individuals, including those with pre-hypertension, lifestyle modifications have the potential to prevent hypertension and more importantly to reduce BP and lower the risk of BP-related clinical complications.

Treatment is successful when multiple factors in the patient’s life are addressed, since essential hypertension is considered as a result of interactions between genes and environment

Numerous short-term trials have documented that individuals can make these lifestyle changes which lower BP13. A more recent trial17 has documented that individuals can simultaneously make multiple lifestyle changes, but a vexing issue is the extent to which individuals can sustain lifestyle changes over the long term. This issue has been addressed in several long term trials such as phase 2 of the Trials Of Hypertension Prevention
