What is so special and important about silver?

  Silver is an important precious metal like gold, but it is second only to gold in terms of value and importance.

  Due to the fact that it is very flexible and stretchable, it is resistant to stress and bends easily.

  As a result, it is often combined with other metals to increase its durability and strength. Silver jewelry is usually made of sterling silver, of which 92.5% is silver and the remaining 7.5% is an alloy of copper and other metals.

  All metals have unique properties among themselves and find suitable applications for properties. So, I answer the question: What are the applications of silver that utilize the special properties of this metal ...?

  Jewelry:-

  Appears attractive, easy to work with, easy to clean when dull, durable, can be combined with many other metals including gold, and copper to enhance their properties, and be used as jewelry.

  Silver Coins:-

  Silver and silver alloys have been used for money for centuries, with silver likely to be the most widely used form until modern times.

  The possibility of using it as a coin provided the basis for identifying silver as a precious metal.

  Its corrosion resistance, and relatively good durability when combined with copper and other metals, make silver a special material tool. Silver coin.

 Flatware:-

  Sterling silver is an alloy of silver (92.5%) and copper, resulting in a harder and more durable material suitable for home appliances for centuries.

 On the dining table, usually in the form of dinnerware (flatware), and serving dishes, silver is a valuable asset in many good homes.

  The use of sterling silver in fine dining was most prevalent between 1840 and 1940, and peaked between 1870 and 1920.

  During this time, silver production and sales increased significantly in line with growing demand (1).

  Electrical Properties:-

  This element, silver, has the highest electrical conductivity of all natural metals. Its resistance to corrosion and excellent ability to conduct electricity provide a basis for use as electrical contacts with low contact resistance.

  Although fine silver can be used as a contact, silver can be used to enhance the contact properties of copper, cadmium, tungsten, nickel and other metals or mixed with other metals.

  Silver plating is often used on electrical contact surfaces to enhance contact resistance.

 Dental alloys:-

  Tin, copper and zinc mixed with silver provide the basis for mercury compounds in dental fillers. Silver alloy billets are "shaved" into tiny particles.

   The dentist can produce lighter alloys by milling them and filling dental cavities with mercury to provide a viable material. Silver alloys for dental use were recorded in China in the 7th century.

  Health care:-

  The antibacterial properties of silver provide many uses in the healthcare industry.

  From colloid silver in homeopathic remedies to silver plating on door handles, alloys with creams and ointments, coated implants for orthopedic application, as well as "specialization" in silver health care. 

  Industrial applications:-

  Silver is mixed with many other elements to provide "silver solder" or brazing alloys. 

  Brazing is a high temperature soldering technology used to join all types of metals and provides very strong joints, generally providing greater strength than base materials.

  Since brazing does not melt base metals, dozens of silver brazing alloys have been developed for specialized applications in joining where welding should be avoided.

  Nuclear power plants:-

  Silver mixed with indium and cadmium to make control rods for nuclear reactors.

  These innumerable alloys have presented me with unique process challenges as a young metallurgist.
