What is science

Science

Occasionally, scientists are shown in television series and films as haphazardly mixing substances to create bizarre mixtures. There is no way that this is not the case. True scientists take great pride in their job and are extremely meticulous and organised.

They pose insightful, testable, and analytical inquiries. They investigate and examine the natural world using highly specialised instruments and techniques. To enable other scientists to do similar research, scientists meticulously observe the world around them and document their results. They read about other scientists' research and present their own discoveries to other scientists.

Through their research, scientists gain knowledge about the natural world and are able to provide answers to questions by gathering evidence. Experiments and natural world observations can be a part of investigations. In order to accomplish science, scientists employ scientific methods. Among them are:

Posing queries and outlining issues

Creating and applying models

Organising and conducting inquiries

Data analysis and interpretation

Applying computational thinking and mathematics

Building justifications

Making an argument based on evidence

acquiring, assessing, and disseminating information

Scientists collect data during research in order to provide answers to inquiries concerning the natural world.

A hypothesis has the potential to become a theory if researchers gather a substantial amount of evidence to support it. Theories are always being tested, and occasionally the abundance of supporting data helps to establish a theory as fact. On occasion, though, it might be rejected due to information that suggests it might not be accurate.

Through experimentation, scientists often uncover fresh evidence. Sometimes new discoveries lead scientists to reject long-held hypotheses.

Some of the theories that were once thought to be true are no longer accepted. People thought the Earth was flat for ages. It made sense at the moment, but after seeing some evidence, scientists had second thoughts.

Scientists need to be open-minded while examining fresh data and keep in mind that there can be other interpretations.
