What is Republic Day? How it is celebrated?

India celebrates Republic Day on January 26th each year with passion. On this day, it is customary to raise the national flag across the nation and have grand parades in Jan path, New Delhi, featuring the Indian National Army. Hindi was established as India's national language on this date in history, 1965. The 72nd Republic Day of India will be observed this year.

IMPORTANCE OF REPUBLIC DAY:

The new constitution was drafted by a commission chaired by Dr. BR Ambedkhar after India gained independence from British domination. On January 26, 1950, the Indian Constitution went into force, establishing India as an independent nation. The date of January 26 was chosen because on Purna Swaraj   ,  the proclamation of India's independence from colonial control, was unveiled on this day in 1930 by the Indian National Congress.

Republic Day is a symbol of India's independent and unique character. The display of military hardware, the national flag, and military hardware are some of the festival's key emblems.

 

CELEBRATION OF REPUBLIC DAY:

India celebrates Republic Day with immense delight and satisfaction. It's a day set aside to honor India's sovereign Constitution. It is common practice for schools and institutions to fly the national flag. Nationwide cultural activities are conducted to support India's fight for independence. At India Gate in New Delhi, the Indian President raises the national flag. The most glorious parades are held on Rajpath in New Delhi. The parade's organizers are The Ministry of Defense plans the meeting with the Indian President. The event not only showcases India's military capability  but also its rich cultural diversity. The day also commemorates the martyrs who gave their lives in defense of the nation. The Indian Prime Minister pays tribute to the martyrs by decorating the Amar Jawan Jyoti   at India Gate with a ringlet. The national anthem, a 21-gun salute, and the raising of the flag come next. Awards such as the Paramvir Chakra, Ashok Chakra, and Veer Chakra are given to the valiant troops. Awards are given to people of all ages who have shown bravery in the face of difficulty. The Constituent Assembly was given legislative authority by the Indian Independence Act (July 1947), which led to the creation of a committee to prepare the constitution under the leadership of law minister Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkhar. The Constituent Assembly received a draft in November, which it openly discussed and edited over the course of the next two years. In honor of the Purna Swaraj  resolution, which the Indian National Congress endorsed on 26.01.1930 and demanded total independence for India, the date of the constitution's proclamation was set for January 26. India's constitution, which is among the world's longest and most comprehensive, established the country as a union of states and a democratic republic. Following the declaration of independence, a constituent assembly chosen by provincial legislatures set about writing a constitution to guide the newly independent country. The Indian Constitution, which strengthened the foundation of India's independent democratic governance, was finished after more than two years. As a nod to the Indian National Congress' Purna Swaraj (full self-rule) independence proclamation from 1930, which is seen as the first tangible step toward independence from Britain, January 26 was chosen as the formal enactment date.
