Intel EMA is cloud based providing both in-band and out of band using an agent in the operating system for any Microsoft Windows 10 platforms. Supported on all systems with Intel AMT 11.8 or higher.
Note: Windows 7* is supported on Intel AMT 11.8 systems only and will be no longer be supported after Intel AMT 16 is released.

The Intel Endpoint Management Assistant connector gathers data about devices from a cloud Intel EMA server.

An EMA connector has the following options:
Connector name. A name for the connector.
Connector server name. The name of the connector server that this connector is associated with. Each connector can only be associated with one connector server. If you added the connector to a specific connector server, this field may be populated for you. Otherwise, you can select the connector server from the list.
Intel EMA URL or server name. The fully-qualified domain name of the EMA server.
API version. The API version that the EMA server is using.
Credentials. The options available are Token, Active Directory, or Client Credentials.
Token authentication uses a username and the associated password for an EMA server account. If the credentials are for an account with limited access, only device records that can be accessed are retrieved.
Active Directory authentication uses credentials from Active Directory. This method can only be used when Intel EMA is installed with Windows Domain Authentication mode, the Intel EMA server is joined to an Active Directory domain, and the User Principal Name provided here is mapped to an Intel EMA account.
Client credentials authentication is designed for API access to the EMA server. You must create the client credentials account and client secret on the EMA server. For more information on creating client credentials, see section 11.1 Creating a New Client Credentials Account in the Intel® Endpoint Management Assistant (Intel® EMA) Admin and Usage Guide.
Repeats. How often the connector should gather data.
Start time. The time of day the connector should start running. To minimize the impact on your network and applications, we recommend that connectors generally run at night or on weekends.
Active. Whether the connector is active or not. While the connector is active, it runs according to the schedule you create. If you clear the check box, the connector is inactive and will not gather data until the check box is enabled again and the connector is saved.
Allow up to 30 minutes for the build operation to complete.
