Allah Almighty has created this world to test who is thankful for the blessings of Allah Almighty and who deserves a great reward by enduring hardships, so work patiently on the birth of a disabled child. We should try to understand the philosophy of sufferings, calamities, and trials from the Islamic point of view, that behind every calamity lies some wisdom of Allah Almighty.
Therefore, depriving a disabled child of his affection and love for the sake of his material goals and worldly gain is an inhuman and immoral act. In a way, it is a betrayal of trust, which is not permissible according to shari'ah. (8 / Al-Anfal: 27) - (O you who believe! Do not betray Allah and His Messenger knowingly, nor betray your trusts).
From an Islamic point of view, a child with a disability should be treated with the same kind of love and affection as a healthy child. On one occasion, Aqra ibn Habis Tamimi was sitting next to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) when Hazrat Hasan ibn 'Ali (may Allaah be pleased with him) came and kissed him. Kar-i-Aqra said, "I have ten children. I have not kissed any of them." (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Kitab Al-Adab, Bab Rahmat Al-Wald, Taqbeela Wa Maanqatah, Hadith No. 5997, Sunan Abi Dawood, Kitab Al-Adab, Hadith No. 5218, Sunan Tirmidhi, Kitab Al-Bar Wal-Salat, Hadith No. 1911, Al-Adab Al-Mufrid for Bukhari, Hadith No. 91, Sahih Ibn Habban, Hadith No. 457, Musnad Ahmad, Hadith No. 7289, narrated by Hazrat Abu Hurayrah - may Allah be pleased with him -) -
A child with a disability is one of the "troubled people," and it is a great reward to work with the suffering of the troubled, serve them, alleviate their distress, and alleviate their anxiety. It is narrated in a hadeeth that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and his family and companions all said: Hadith No. 7701, Author Abdul Razzaq, Hadith No. 18933, Al-Sunan Al-Kubra for Women, Hadith No. 7287, narrated by: Allah will remove his anxiety and restlessness in the Hereafter.
Parents should understand that a disabled child is a source of forgiveness for their sins. There is a hadith in which the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and his Companions said: عنه حتي الشوكة يشاكها ". (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Kitab Al-Mardi, Hadith No. 5640, Sahih Muslim, Hadith No. 2572, Musnad Ahmad, Hadith No. 24573 Allah forgives his sins because of this, even the thorn that bites becomes the expiation for his sins.
In a hadith, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) described being in trouble as a sign that he is close to Allaah the Exalted and that Allaah wants to deal with him kindly, as Hazrat It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions said: Al-Kubra l-Nisa'i, Kitab al-Tib, Bab al-Tib, Hadith No. 7478, Muwatta Malik, Hadith No. 1684, Al-Zuhd Ibn Al-Mubarak, Hadith No. 464, Sahih Ibn Habban, Hadith No. 2907) - Causes trouble) -
Parents should also remember that the disabled child is an opportunity for patience and a great reward. Allah Almighty has said: 2 / Baqarah: 155-156) (Give glad tidings to those who are patient and patient - those who are afflicted with calamity, they say: We belong to Allah, and to Allah we go). ) -
Therefore, there should be no negligence in the service, care, upbringing, education, and training of the disabled child and the payment of his rights.
