What Is Processor ?

The Processor is also called the Central Processing Unit. A processor is a type of chip installed in computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc. The processor is also called the computer's brain because just like the brain is the main part of the human body, in the same way, the processor is also a main part of the computer. The processor understands all the activities between us and the computer, so the computer/laptop can understand the command and work on it.

How does the computer understand our given command ?

Suppose 2 men are standing together, and both know different languages. In this case, both the men will not understand each other's language, but if both the men know English, they will be able to understand each other. Just as both men can understand each other's language through English, similarly, a computer understands our language through a processor.

What is the core in the processor?

Core refers to the capacity of the processor, how much capacity the processor has. If the processor is single-core, it will not be able to do heavy work; if you do heavy work on a computer with a single-core, it will start hanging. People who have to do heavy work on the computer use processors with 2,4,6 cores. The more cores in the computer's processor, the more the computer's ability to work.

Number of Cores in computer's Processor :

A dual-core processor, means the processor has 2 cores

A quad-core processor, means the processor has 4 cores

Hexa Core Processor means the processor has 6 cores

Octa-core processor means the processor has 8 cores

Deca core processor means the processor has 10 cores

Just as the distance is measured in kilometers, water is measured in liters. Similarly, the working capacity of the processor is measured in GHz (GigaHertZ).

What is the generation in a processor?

There are hundreds of millions of Transistors inside a professor. The smaller the size of the transistor in the processor, the faster it will be and the less energy it will take. Generation means how good and small the technology used by the processor maker to make the processor.

For Example: Suppose a company has installed a fourth-generation processor in its computer. At the time of the fourth generation, the size of the transistor in the processor was 14 nanometers. Still, a year later, the same company introduced the fifth-generation processor in its computer.

In fifth-generation processors, the transistor size was reduced from 14 nanometers. The processor in which the transistor size is smaller, the processor is faster and consumes less energy.

What is Hyperthreading in CPU?

There are physically 2 cores inside a CORE I3 PROCESSORS, but it is built so that it behaves like a processor with 4 cores, in which case a processor with 2 cores works almost like a processor with four cores. When we buy a computer or mobile, keeping in mind the Hyper-Threading of the processor, we buy that computer or mobile because if there is hyper-threading in the PROCESSOR, it will work much better.
