There is a pie shop in my town that sells a large apple pie. There are always plenty of food and wine paintings in the galleries I go to regularly. Her painting called Passion Splash is classified as a food and wine painting because the woman in the picture is drinking red wine.
I sold it at a winery in Miami. I was shocked to see that big-eyed woman walking. I bought several paintings of food and wine depending on the trip. One of the drawings was entitled For a Perfect Cherry and I decided to keep it and hang it in my dining room. The red in the painting is fun and very nice. The fish shop had high-end customers and they wanted to place a work of art on the walls of the reception room. I found Marie M. Vlasic's first oil painting of lobster. It was a beautiful painting of food and wine and looked great at the fish shop. There was a dessert store owner in Denver who contacted me and asked me to monitor the drawings of food and wine with pears. He had made several recipes for pears that became his signature vessels and wanted to deal with that with art hanging in his place.
I found some delicious oil on a wooden plate and a pair of four pearls on a glass table. The artist paints a new painting every day. I sent him to make six more pear drawings and then sold all seven of them to the sugar shop owner who contacted me. He enjoyed the pieces and invited me to visit at another time. I have a friend with a local beer joint. I immediately thought of her when I was on my way to buy food and wine paintings.
I saw an oil painting on a stretched sail that included an unopened beer bottle. It was perfect for him. I bought it and it still hangs on the end of his bar. My little sister was redecorating her shop and I got the original fatty food and wine painting.
The artist’s title was a large spoon and strawberry jam. The piece looked delicious! I gave it to her at her shop and hung it up at the jam-selling store.
