Judge's 55th homer, IF's slam lead jerks to sweep of Twinned YORK- 

— The Yankees swept a doubleheader from Minnesota by throwing a platoon from the 90s at the halves — as in invariant figures generally limited to spring training.

 Oswaldo Cabrera stopped an 0- for- 25 slide with a game-ending single in the nature.

  New York83- 54 opened a five-game AL East lead over alternate-place Tampa Bay and settled its 30th straight winning season. The Yankees are 114- 39 against the halves since 2002, including the playoffs. 

Judge homered for the fourth straight game, driving a change up to left in the fourth inning, the only mark of Louie Garland’s else outstanding major league debut. Judge set the Yankees record for right-handed blockbuster by surpassing the 54 homers hit by Alex Rodriguez in 2007. 

 Garland, a 24- time-old right-hander, gave up three successes and one walk in51/3 innings with seven strikeouts. He equaled 93.9 mph with 44 fastballs, mixing in 19 change ups and 17 sliders.

After Celestial’s RBI single off Mariachi gave Minnesota a 4- 3 lead in the 12th, Dessert retired Cornea on a pop out and Miranda on a flout. 

  Liner-Flea singled off Trevor Me gill3- 3, stole second with one out and scored when Cabrera predicated a wind for a contrary-field, two-out single to left wing that ended a 4- hour, 3- nanosecond struggle. 

They are cool, calm and collected, Judge said of the kiddies. I do not see them over there, skittish. They are not spooked. 

 WINNING, 

New York's band of winning seasons is alternate only to the big league record of 39 set by the Yankees from 1926 to 64. 

 DEFENSE Minnesota made a season-high four crimes in the nature. LF Jake Cave threw out Martin Gonzalez at the plate in the nightcap. Judge was walked five times in the twin bill, three resignedly.

 Yankees LHP Zack BrittonTommy John surgery pitched a hitless inning with a walk and a strikeout in his first recovery spin for Triple- A Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre. Rizzo went on the injured list, retroactive to Saturday, due to headaches following an epidural injection for lower reverse pain. Donaldson was placed on the maternity list.
