The game had topped 50 million downloads worldwide as of December 2021.
In February 2021, PUBG Studios, an internal subsidiary of Krafton (the game's publisher), announced the development of "PUBG: New State," a different entity from PUBG: Battlegrounds and its mobile version, set in the near future (year 2051) as part of the PUBG world.
Krafton said in July 2021 that the game has received over 20 million pre-registrations on Google Play alone. After running in 28 countries, the alpha testing ended on August 28th, and the team added changes and fixes based on user feedback. After pre-registration for iOS launched in September 2021, the game had achieved more than 50 million pre-registrations on both Google Play and the App Store.
The game's name was changed from "PUBG: New State" to "New State Mobile" on January 27, 2022. The modification was then implemented across all platforms.
In NEW STATE Mobile, 100 players are deployed by dropping out of a plane into the game's main area, Troi, a lonely 8x8 island where they must scavenge resources and battle each other to survive. Troi takes place in 2051 in the northern United States, in a futuristic world with futuristic buildings, architecture, and monuments. Drones, ballistic shields, neon sights, combat balance, resurrecting dead comrades, and "recruiting" downed adversaries are among the new features. Futuristic cars, buggies, motorcycles, speedboats, and gliders are among the vehicles.
NEW STATE MOBILE includes interactive objects and structures with destructible windows and doors, as well as the ability to switch between first and third person viewpoints. Weapon customization includes grenade launchers, grips, sights, silencers, and other weapon accessories, as well as multiple fire modes.
Secondary 4v4 multiplayer variants, such as team deathmatch, allow players to choose from up to four weapon loadouts. It also includes an upgraded version of the original PUBG map "Erangel."
The game formerly displayed on-screen data components such as the number of kills and the number of players alive; however, it will also display the number of kill-assists alongside the other two data elements. Players can also stockpile guns and other goodies in the trunks of their vehicles in this new game.
This game appears to be similar to Call of Duty Warzone, a popular battle royale game for console and PC gamers. Call of Duty Black Ops 3 or Black Ops 4 have a similar ultra-modern atmosphere. The new game is planned to go deeper into the PUBG universe as a whole.

Android smartphones must have at least 2GB of RAM, a 64-bit processor, and be running Android 6.0 or higher. This game requires Vulkan 1.1 or above, as well as OpenGL 3.1 or higher. Higher graphics/frame rate settings may only work with more current and high-end models.
This game may be played on devices that have iOS 13 or iPadOS 13 installed, as well as a minimum of 1.4GB of storage. Higher graphics/frame rate settings may be limited to a small number of models.
