What is neem?

Neem, an evergreen tree, is known as one of the most powerful medicinal plants in the world. Neem is known as nature's medicine in Ayurveda. Although this tree is endemic to the Indian subcontinent, it is now being cultivated and grown all over the world in places with similar climates as people have become aware of its benefits.

Neem tree has been found to be rich in many beneficial chemical molecules. All parts of neem tree from bark to neem leaves, flower, fruit, seed and root are widely used in curing various ailments.

Neem has many incredible medical benefits, one of the most important of which is killing cancer cells. If you consume neem daily, it will keep the number of cancer cells in the body within a certain limit. So that they don't group together against your physique.

Neem protects the skin:

Traditionally, neem leaves have been used to treat ringworm, skin diseases, wounds or skin rashes. Neem has also been selected as suitable for use as a mosquito repellent. Neem has been used for thousands of years as the world's oldest skin emollient. Neem leaves can be boiled in water, the water filtered and stored and used as an ointment for the skin.

Neem Bark and Sticks:

Neem bark is known to fight tooth decay and reduce the amount of bacteria in the mouth. Traditionally, neems have been used for brushing teeth for this reason.

Neem Flower Benefits:

Known as an antiseptic, neem also cleanses the body when consumed. This is one of the reasons why neem is included in some South Indian dishes.

Neem seeds:

Neem seeds have cleansing properties and are used to remove intestinal worms. Juice is extracted from the seeds and then consumed. This neem extract kills intestinal worms and other unwanted parasites that may be present in the intestines.

Neem Oil:

Applying the oil to the scalp is used to treat dandruff and prevent dandruff. This extracted oil can also be used as an effective mosquito repellent. Also commonly used in many commercially available room fresheners.

Roots:

Like other parts of the neem plant, neem roots are rich in antioxidants.

Disadvantages of consuming neem:

Consuming too much of neem can destroy sperms. During the first four to five months of pregnancy, when the fetus is developing, pregnant women should not eat neem.
