Of all the celestial bodies that capture our attention and interest as astronomers, no one has a greater influence on the life of planet Earth than its satellite, the moon. When you think about it, we consider the moon to be so important that unlike the moons of other planets we name it, we refer to our only orbiting path called the Moon. It's not the moon. For us, it is the only moon. The moon works on our way of thinking, our feelings about love, our poems and books and the way we feel about our daily lives in many situations. It is not just ancient civilizations that explain changes in mood, changes in social behavior, and changes in the weather on the moon. Even today, the full moon can exert a powerful influence on these forces, even if we cannot explain them to science. The most obvious event that directly affects the gravitational pull of the ocean waves is the sea. Waves are an important part of the way marine life is controlled and the emergence and movement of fishing land in coastal communities. But not many people realize that at certain times of the year when the earth orbits the sun's orbit around the sun, it can have a profound effect on water inland and on land.
