Consuming liquids to maintain hydration, getting enough sleep, and using over-the-counter pain and fever drugs.

You shouldn't use penicillin antibiotics like ampicillin or amoxicillin if you have infectious mononucleosis. A healthcare professional may suggest treatment for particular organ systems affected by infectious mononucleosis, depending on the severity of the symptoms.
