What is Meditation, and how does it affect our Brain?

In today's run-of-the-mill life, the stress of a person has increased a lot, and this stress is absolutely fair because when we have a childhood, the burden of books, the burden of jobs in our youth and nowadays more than the burden of, many breaks. It extinguishes the burden. To avoid this, many people turn to stress medications, others turn to alcohol, and still, others commit suicide.

Thoughts arrive in our minds as a frequency (wave) from the Spiritual World; if we stop holding these thoughts, our mind will become a zero thought. Without this, the state of mind is called meditation.

If you think this is simple, you are mistaken because we believe there are no thoughts in our minds right now, but there is some thinking in our subconscious minds.

Meditation has been taught in almost all religions so that you can understand its significance.

Meditation is about meditation in all religions, including Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Jews, and Islam. How so? Let’s see.

It is written in the Jewish religious text Torah that the Prophet Muhammad used to go to the mountains to seek knowledge from God.

The scripture of Christianity is the Bible. In the Bible, in the book of Genesis chapter 24 verse 65, it is written that Isaac went to meditate at dusk.

The Quran is the scripture of the Islamic religion. It is written in the Qur'an that Allah has asked us to meditate on the Qur'an.

When we go to sleep, we do not get to sleep, but sleep comes automatically. But it can create necessary conditions to get sleep, like lying down comfortably in a comfortable bed, turning off the lights, running the AC, etc.

The same thing happens in meditation. We do not have to meditate, but it happens automatically. When we do Dharana, then meditation takes place automatically.

You can focus your mind on anything external, such as a candle lamp attached. Inner points, i.e., you can focus your mind on any chakra, or you can do Dharana by focusing your mind on your breath and many more external or internal points.

When you start doing daily meditation properly, then meditation will take place automatically. Because when we do Dharana, our entire focus is on any object or point. When our entire focus is on any object or point, thoughts stop coming into our mind, and meditation (Meditation) simply means that there is no thought in the mind (state of thoughtlessness).

Here is some kind of Meditation.

1. Relaxation Meditation

There are various types of meditation in Relaxation Meditation, such as Guided Meditation and Silent Seating Meditation.

In this type of meditation, the body is asked to bring itself into a state of relaxation, and then the mind is guided to relax.

When we go to do Relaxation Meditation, less food should be eaten because eating more food leads to sleep when the state of relaxation comes.

In this kind of meditation, we must accept what is said, as I have explained in Dharana.

2. Chanting Meditation

In Chanting Meditation, any mantra or verse has to be chanted, or prayer must be done.

In this type of meditation, chanting is done only to break the pattern of our mind because when we keep chanting continuously, then the regular pattern of our mind gets broken.

In Chanting Meditation, when time is available, the mantra should be chanted, and I do not think every moment I have got any benefit from this or not; just keep on reciting it.

3. Concentration Meditation

Tratak, Vipassana, Anapanasati, etc., meditations come from this method.

In this type of meditation, we have to focus our minds or eyes on any one point or object.

It doesn't matter what point or object we focus on in this type of meditation; what matters is how long we focus on it.

Thoughts change in our brains every 48 seconds, and our actions change every 45 minutes. By breaking this pattern of our body or mind, we can increase our focus greatly. Therefore, if any of your work is more than 45 minutes, do not divide it into some time.

For example, if you sit to study, read with full focus for 90 minutes continuously, and not read for the first 45 minutes, then take a short break, and then read for 45 minutes. By making this 45 minutes-45 minutes in two parts, we get temporary benefits.

If you have made a habit of reading with full focus for 90 minutes, you cannot even imagine how much your focus will increase.
