The plans for a McLaren SUV were reportedly divulged at the automaker's global dealer meeting just outside London on November 11, where McLaren outlined its plans for the next several years. The SUV (codenamed P47) will feature five seats and four doors, both firsts for McLaren, as well as an all-wheel-drive V-8 hybrid powertrain.

This won't be a plug-in hybrid, one retailer told AN, but rather a more traditional hybrid setup with the electrical assistance focused on amplifying the SUV's performance. The silhouette is described as similar to the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT Coupe but bigger; a clay model that was shown to the dealers was said to ride on 24-inch wheels.
