MP government will publish ranking of government schools from Class 1 to Class 8 every month. As per the media reports, this decision was taken prior to the cabinet meeting at Wallah Shawna when addressing his cabinet ministers. Students will be able to apply for the scholarship through an online portal, claimed the reports.
Following the instructions of Chief Minister Sri Shiva Raj Singh Chauhan to develop a ranking system for government schools from class I to VIII and display it in the CM Dashboard, the State Education Center is preparing the ranking of all 52 districts. Director State Education Center Mr. Dhanraju S informed that the School Education Department will decide the ranking of the districts from this month on the basis of the work being done in all the districts. Numbers will be given to the districts on the basis of every work and achievement and this report will be shared among the District Project Officers of all the districts as well as District Collectors and Divisional Commissioners.
Director Sri Dhanraju informed that this system is being implemented with a view to create a healthy competition among the districts along with quality and execution of work in time-limit. The works of all the District Education Centers, DIET's and training institutions like education colleges coming under the State Education Center will be tested every month. Corrective action will also be ensured on the basis of the scores of the districts.
Based on the priority of primary school education, several action points have been fixed. It is mainly divided into 7 main parts like enrollment and placement of children, quality academic achievements, professional development of teachers, equity, infrastructure and physical facilities, good governance processes and financial management and other programs. In these, changes will be made from time to time according to the priority of the month.
On the basis of the performance in the academic session 2021-22, provisional ranking of all 52 districts of the state will be prepared and issued among the districts on May 20, 2022, on which corrective suggestions and objections will be received from all the district collectors. Based on the suggestions and objections received from the districts, after making necessary amendments, the ranking of the districts will be finally determined and displayed on the CM Dashboard.
In a bid to improve quality of education in Madhya Pradesh’s schools, the state education department recently announced on its official Twitter handle that it will provide the ranking of government schools from Class 1 to Class 8 every month.
According to the announcement, the government will begin providing ranks to schools in all 52 districts based on the quality of education. Schools will be ranked based on the number of points they receive for meeting duties and producing high-quality work.
Another tweet made by the education department revealed that the decision to rank schools was made after Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivaraj Singh Chauhan’s directive. The official notice claims that the Chief Minister has asked officials to publish the school monthly ranking on the CM dashboard.
Meanwhile, earlier this month, Shivaraj Singh Chauhan also announced new scholarships to encourage Sanskrit among students. He promised scholarships to students learning Sanskrit. The scholarship is intended to assist students and priests studying the Sanskrit language. This will also result in the filling of empty Sanskrit instructor positions. As per The Times of India report, 1900 posts have been filled so far, and recruitments were being made on the remaining posts. Furthermore, until teachers are hired, arrangements will be made for guest faculty. CM Chauhan made a number of announcements at the beginning of May, including the state government’s plan to add a lesson on Bhagavān - Ashram to the school curriculum.
