What is Link Exchange? Why should any blogger not do a link exchange?

Backlinks are essential for the Search Engine Ranking of the blog. That's why nowadays, every blogger is focusing on link building.  But many people also make mistakes in link building. Due to which the ranking of his site decreases a lot instead of increasing. We are going to tell you in this post that why any blogger should not do Link Exchange?

If you have a little SEO knowledge, you will know very well about backlinks and their importance. All bloggers want their blogs to be indexed at the top position on the search engine. It's everyone who tries to do the best of something. But only a few people can optimize the SEO of the blog in a better way.

We need to create a backlink for the SEO of our blog. Because this improves the blog's search engine ranking, and good traffic comes from the search engine on our site. To create a backlink, you have to add the link of your blog to any other site related to your site. The second thing is that the site in which the link of your blog will be added, then there should not be a tag of rel="nofollow" with it. If you get a nofollow backlink, it does not pass the link juice and does not help in SEO ranking.

There are many methods to create backlinks for the blog, but only a few of them are good and easy. In which the best method is “Guest Post.” If you create a backlink through a guest post, it will be 100% safe for you. Because if there is a website link in an article of 1000 or 2000 words, there will be no problem.

In this article, we will talk about why the Link Exchanging program is not good for any blogger?

In my case, so far, many bloggers have invited me for link exchange. But I refused all.  Because I know that if there is benefit from this, then there is also a risk. Slowly I came to know about it very well. Some people think that link exchanging is a good way to make backlinks. That is why we are going to tell a little bit about it in this post.

What is Link Exchange?

Many newbie bloggers will not even know what link exchange is, so we would like to tell them quickly that when we contact the owner of another website or blog and add its site link to our blog and add our site link. If you add it to his blog, then it is called link exchange.

For this, the blog owner from which you want to exchange the link will have to contact and talk personally. If he accepts, you will from his site, and he will give you a backlink from his site. We think there is no harm in SEO by this, but it comes in bad SEO practice.

Why should you not do Link Exchange?

As we have told you above that, it is considered bad SEO practice. It can reduce the SEO ranking of your site. There are many causes for this. Let us know one by one.

 1. Getting Backlink from Unrelated Site is Pointless.

Google ranks any site very thoughtfully. If the blog's backlinks are backlinked to the site related to the niche of that site, then it is given more value in Google. If you get a backlink from sites unrelated to your blog's niche, you will not benefit from it.

Therefore, if you exchange links with a site with an unrelated niche from your site, then the site ranking will decrease.

 2. You may be giving more than you are getting.

If someone has sent you a link exchange proposal, you don't need to get more benefit from it. It may also happen that you are giving more than what you are getting. If you do not understand, then I will try to tell you.

You all will know that if you get backlinks from many sites, you will not get the same value for links. The site with more DA (Domain Authority and PA (Page Rank)) will have more value if you get a backlink. If yes, then you are giving more than that.

 3. It Can Decrease Your Site's SEO Ranking

No SEO expert will ask you to do a link exchange. Because as much as you will gain from this, there will be many more losses than that. If we tell you in simple then “It is Dangerous for Search Ranking.”

If you want to maintain the search engine ranking of your blog and do not want to lose it, then never do a link exchange.

 4. It can decrease the traffic of your blog.

When you add a link to another site in your blog, you can lose your traffic. When a visitor comes to your blog, a link to another site will appear there, and he can click on it and go to another site. In this way, you will gradually lose the regular visitors of your blog as well.
