Calcium stones

Calcium stones, including calcium oxalate stones and calcium phosphate stones, are the most common types of kidney stones. Calcium oxalate stones are more common than calcium phosphate stones.

Calcium from the diet does not increase the chances of calcium oxalate deficiency. Usually, the extra unused calcium from your bones and muscles goes to your kidneys and is excreted in the urine. When this does not happen, calcium stays in the kidneys and mixes with other impurities to form a kidney stone. Uric acid stones

Uric acid can form when your urine contains too much acid. Eating too much fish, shellfish, and meat — especially organic meat — may increase uric acid in the urine.

Staghorn calculi
