EA launched the Apex Legends Mobile game in May and is now available for both Android and iOS users. The developers are already set to release the game's first mid-season update. EA has updated its blog post to announce that his new update will add a new legend and new content to the game. Moreover, Apex Legends Mobile will get the latest battle pass with new rewards and a special game feature that will freeze its surroundings area. As per the blog, the new update will even offer frozen loot boxes with a special currency that can be used for various items in the Seasonal Shop. Apart from these, the update will fix some bugs and will also address player's complaints regarding the game's matchmaking algorithm.
EA has released a new trailer on its official YouTube account that intoduce a new character to Apex Legends Mobile. Loba is an existing character in the PC/console versions of the game. Players can either unlock Loba by reaching Battle Pass level 25 or can directly purchase the new character. However, the character will be available from June 16 (Thursday). Starting with the new legend, Respawn has confirmed to bring Loba into Apex Legends Mobile. If you do not know Loba from the game’s PC and console counterparts already, she has been a fan-favorite legend, particularly for her unique loot-focused abilities and the fact that she can get out of a chaotic situation by teleporting. Her passive ability, dubbed Eye For Quality, will let players see nearby Epic and Legendary loot items through walls, while her tactical ability called Burglars Best Friend will allow players to throw a Jump Drive bracelet to a nearby location to instantly teleport there. Her ultimate ability, the Black Market Boutique, will see her plant a portable shop in a location to get all the nearby loots. The Cold Snap update also introduces a new battle pass, with two separate tiers; Battle Pass Premium and Battle Pass Premium Plus. Both battle passes include three legend skins, two weapon skins, various item rewards, and 800 syndicate gold. The Battle Pass Premium Plus also boasts 80% bonus BP gain, 500000 BP experience (10 BP level), and a Limited Avatar Frame. The trailer also reveals a winter theme where big structures are dumping snow on the ground and turned loot boxes have returned into Frosted loot boxes where players can find Diamonds as a currency. These currencies can be used to purchase rare items in the Seasonal Shop. EA has also discussed how the company is planning to improve by acknowledging player concerns. However, the company has not outlined the details of how it will address all of these issues. The developers have addressed issues that concerened players including -- Ranked Sysytem, bans in Normal Matches, matchmaking optimizing and performance optimisations for devices and servers. Other than these, Respawn has fixed various known issues in the game. For starters, the developers optimized Wraith’s base visuals, fixed Octane’s incorrect voiceover callouts when using the jump pad, fixed an issue where Mirage players would experience lag after activating the ultimate, and more. In the official patch notes of the update, the developers also mentioned that they have made some adjustments to the matchmaking system of the game. Moreover, Respawn has also tweaked the systems that impact their servers to reduce lag and deliver optimal performance of the game.
