What Is Homeopathic Medicine?

Homeopathy is a safe, natural form of medicine based on such treatment.  Homeopathy is the Greek word for homeopathy, meaning similar or similar, and italics, meaning suffering.

Homeopathy is more concerned with treating the whole person than just treating the disease.  Homeopathy treats the patient as a whole, both physically and psychologically, taking into account the patient's physical appearance, their likes and dislikes, and their characteristics.  It is a highly customized treatment regimen, so patients with obviously the same disease may be offered advice on different medications.

Homeopathy is a well-established form of treatment.  Today, leading pharmaceutical companies are researching and mass-producing many homeopathic medicines.

  Homeopathic medicines

Homeopathic medicines look like regular medicines and are taken in the same way, but the way they work is completely different.

Drugs are not synthetic and are derived from natural sources.  More than 60% of homeopathic medicines are made from vegetable or plant products.  Other solutions are made from naturally occurring minerals, including metals, non-metallic materials and mineral salts.  Animal sources of homeopathic medicines include the following: catfish (ink or juice provides sepia) and honeybees.

Homeopathic medicines are prepared by obtaining the medicine in its concentrated form and then diluting it with a long process, making the medicine potent enough for the treatment.  Malignancy describes the dilute dose of the drug and is indicated by the number following the name of the drug.  The higher the number, the higher the dilution (up to one partial solution per trillion parts).

  Homeopathic medicines

Homeopathic medicines, commonly referred to as medicines, can come from plants, minerals or the animal kingdom.  Some common remedies include: Arnica montana, from leopard lice;  Belladonna, from the deadly nightshade plant;  Calcium carbonate from calcareous, oyster shells;  Sepia, from catfish ink;  And element, sulfur.

Today, homeopathic remedies are made using the same dilute principles as in Honey man's time.  At a common dilution of 1: 100, one drop of homeopathic substance is added to 99 drops of water and / or alcohol.  The mixture is energized by a process called "suction" - tapping repeatedly on a hard surface for a period of time.  The solutions can be diluted up to 1000 times, leaving only a myriad trace of the substance.  The remedy is usually diluted 10, 100 or 1,000 times, which translates into energies denoted by the Roman numerals X, C and M.  Homeopathic remedies range from 6X to as low as 1M or more.

The drug can be taken orally in the form of tablets, powders or drops, rubbed topically or injected.  There are usually no side effects from homeopathy treatment, but a patient can experience what is called "healing intensity", which is a temporary exacerbation of symptoms.  This is considered a positive sign that the solution is working.  Depending on the severity of the symptoms, a homeopathic alternative may be chosen, which creates the opposite effect of the solution.  The alternative medicine may be another homeopathic remedy or a strong substance like perfume, camphor or coffee, which may prevent the effects of a medicine.

In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recognized homeopathic medicines as medicines since 1938.  For many years, the FDA has classified homeopathic medicines as prescription or over-the-counter (over-the-counter) depending on their strength.  In the United Kingdom, homeopathic medicine has been part of the National Health Service (NHS) since its inception in 1948.  There are currently 5 homeopathy hospitals in the NHS.  Homeopathic medicines are available in the store or by prescription.

  Safety of homeopathic medicines

Due to the very small doses used in homeopathy treatment, the drugs are completely safe, non-addictive and have no unwanted side effects.  The healing properties of the essential oils, have long been known in ancient times.
