What is History of Gateway of India?

Mumbai is the Capital of Maharashtra. The Mumbai city is the biggest financial city. Here live rich people and doing their dream and wishes.

 The Gateway of India is located on the waterfront at Apollo Port area at the end of TAJ Road in south Mumbai and overlook of the Arabian Sea. 

 It is not just about beaches, pubs,  caves, and clubs. This island has a history so interesting that you would never see Mumbai as a crowded city, but as a historical marvel. Here many historical building situated in which the best historical building is Gateway of India. Gateway of India was build when King George were coming to India. This Historical building is near Arabic Sea. The Gateway of India is most popular for Tourism. Here one port where you can go to Ali Bag or Goa.

 The Grand monument has also been known as the Taj Mahal of Mumbai and is the most visited tourist attraction in Mumbai.

 The Gateway is located at an angle, in the opposite direction to the famous Taj Mahal Palace, and Tower Hotel,  which was constructed in 1903.

 In The grounds surrounding the gateway, in the opposite direction of the monument, is a statue of Shiva, who was the Maratha warrior-hero who fought the Mughal Empire to establish the Maratha Empire in the 17th century.

 The statue was inaugurated on the 26th of January 1961, on the occasion of the Indian Republic Day. It replaced an earlier bronze statue of King George V which stood in the same place.

 In the year 2016, Mid-Day reported that the George v statue is kept inside a Tin storage shade of the public work department behind the college in front of Mumbai. Another statue located near the gateway is one is that of Swami Vivekananda, an Indian monk who is believed to have been an influential player in the spread of Indian philosophical concepts such as Vedanta or Yoga in the West and also for the introduction of Hinduism to the level of a major religion in the 19th century.

 Near Gateway of India, The biggest Hotel of India is The TAJ Hotel have, and it's looking so beautiful. You can take pictures, one of the best city image from any cruise ship. I am always going to Elephant a Cave and Ali bag by ship. Here have two ports, first Gateway of India Mumbai, and The Nehru Port Navi Mumbai. India 25% percent transportation from here. 

Gateway of India is so beautiful, and it is look very beauty, and rainy days are star attractions at the Gateway of India. Sunsets because of the brilliant colors and the perfect view of the sea, and the rainy days because of the gushing high - tide waves. 

So, Gateway of India is most famous for tourism in India. Here people come also from Foreign.
