What Is Happiness?

What is happiness and where it comes from? Usually people tend to say that happiness comes from money or wealth, but it’s not true, actually happiness is a state of mind, calmness and tranquility.

For example, A house owner might desire a lovely cottage, whereas a bungalow owner might desire a luxurious property. As a result, the question arises as to where true human happiness and contentment might be found. In general, material opulence and wealth are thought to be the primary characteristics that lead to happiness. An affluent person has access to all of life's conveniences, privileges, amenities, and services. But does he consider himself truly content? Even if a wealthy person is the ruler of millions, he may be sad due to poor health. He is unable to appreciate all of life's pleasures due to his illness. In this universe, he sees himself as a convicted and cursed man. And he's much more concerned when he's surrounded by luxury. His mental state isn't improving. Rather, he is always in a depressed attitude.

Furthermore, humanity is a peculiar species. People forget to count the blessings they have. As a result, their desire to have and possess leads to aspirations, yet inability to attain those aspirations leads to frustration. Unhappiness and melancholy result from the desire for more goods and emptiness.
