WHAT IS GENDER EQUALITY
If we talk about gender equality, that indicates the rights provided to both men and women.
And in that sequence, many things come along like:
- equal rights
- equal opportunities
- equal freedom etc.
Is gender equality present in our society?
We always say that yes, in reality, there is gender equality. Both men and women have equal rights. Both can do whatever they want both of them can make decisions regarding themselves on their own. And when we put our eyes on reviews, 90% of them will be positive. Yes, in the present time, women have all the rights. They can do what they want all the decisions regarding themself they have the right to take them.
But if we go through the reality over there, things are not the same over there we get to see a different face of this society. There is no such thing as gender equality, and even today, our community is male-dominated, where men take each decision regarding women's life. Whether that's related to their studies their personal life on their professional life and along with that the decisions like:
- when they have to go out when not
- what they have to wear, whatnot
What they have to do and what not etc.
Are the decisions taken by a man. Neither do they have the freedom to make decisions in their home, nor do they have the freedom to make decisions in their in-law's home, and we are saying there is gender equality. I don't know which type of gender equality is this. People only see the glamour present in society present in this world but never focus on that reality.
Where even today, people think that women need support. They can't do anything by themselves. They are weak. They don't have as much potential as the man has. Even today, at some places, a girl child seems to be a burden in their parent's life whereas parents feel grateful to have a boy child. They are superstitious regarding all this, and this is only the backward mentality of people. They even don't want to change their thinking. They don't wish to change their life. That's why I'm not getting people to say that men and women have equal rights, they can do whatever they want in their life, make decisions regarding their life, and no one has the right to interfere in that. Still, I think they forget that they are the only person who interferes in the women's life.
And there are many reasons behind that, but instead of all this, there are many families where both the childs are treated equally weather that a boy or that a girl they don't discriminate between them. But there are only a few families who do so, but what about the rest as there are many families where parents treat their son and daughter in different ways like they are ready to give all the rights and decision-making rights to their son. They think that they can make the decisions of their life. They know what is good and what's bad for their lives but the same rights they don't give to their daughter. None of her decision is her own she has to ask regarding the things that she can do. She has to take permission for that. So, how can we say that there is gender equality?
By the way, leave all that and let's talk about the responsible one, the person responsible for all that and that's none other we have provided them that freedom we had made them Our God and the most important that we are still silent.
So, if we have to prove ourselves to them that we are not a loser, then for that we have to fight we have to raise our voice against it we have to show them that we are not weak and don't need anyone support we can decide our life can fight for that and can successfully achieve whatever we want in our life.
