What is Full Form of SIM and what is Hard Disk ?

What is the hardware structure of the SIM card?✍

SIM card stands for
( Subscriber Identity Module. )

It is a piece of hardware with an integrated circuit, which acts as a bridge for communication between a mobile phone with mobile network (telecom operator).

️ Now let us discuss the different elements of SIM cards:-

The picture above is a 6 pin sim card. There is also an 8 pin sim card. Different types of SIM cards are discussed here. But now let us discuss the 6 pin sim card hardware structure -

1. Vcc: This is the supply voltage pin of the SIM. It supports 5V DC power. In order to operate the SIM card, this VCC pin must be supplied with 5V DC, only then the IC (integrated circuit) embedded within the SIM card will function.

2. Reset: This is the PIN used to reset the SIM card signal and communication. Using this PIN will put the SIM in the default mode to reset all current signals. RESET PIN is activated by mobile device or SIM card when required. Usually, SIM users are given less permission to use this function.

3. Clock: This provides a clock signal to the SIM to its processor. The watch is acquired or inherited from the mobile or hardware.

4. Ground: This is the normal reference voltage. Generally, we call ground a low voltage point. Since SIM is a small electronic hardware with integrated circuit, it also has common reference point and hence this pin is named Ground. GND now completes the circuit for the proper functioning of the SIM card.

5. Vpp : Earlier this pin was used to carry the additional voltage required for writing or erasing data to the SIM card's memory but now it is not very useful as this work is done by Vcc.

6. Input/Output (I/O): It is used to read and write data from mobile phone to SIM card. It is the half-duplex communication pin that acts as the data transfer pin.

As the SIM card is getting smaller and smaller, the performance and capacity is increasing day by day and it is all thanks to new technology and research.

What is a Hard Disk?

The hard disk is integrated within the system unit.  It is an external storage device and is also known as the secondary memory of the computer.  The information stored in the hard disk remains the same even after the computer is turned off.  The information stored in the hard disk can also be modified later.  The hard disk is made of light alloy and is coated with magnetized oxide on both sides.

This disc spins very fast on the drive.  The data is stored on a disc with condensed tracks.  These tracks are again divided into sectors.  Finds Track Index records directly.  A cylinder is named for all the tracks of the same record on all surfaces.

In this post, you have learned what is Hard Disk is and what are its types?  Hopefully, by now, you must have known about hard disks very well.  If you use a computer, we would advise that you never open the hard disk. Otherwise, it may get damaged.  We have explained almost all aspects of hard disk in this post, but if you have any questions, please comment below.  If you want, you can share this post with your friends.  Thank you...
