A football team contains a minimum amount of 11 players. But, in case someone gets injured, or they have to change him in case of any matter, they have some extra players in the back. The amount of these extra players is not fixed, they maybe 3 to 4 or less or can be more than that.
When a football match is underway two captains stand in front of each other than three bounces of football are done, who gets the football first after three bounces, passes the ball to his teammate then the game starts. The objective of the teams is to protect their goal and score into other team’s goal. There is a halftime after 45 minutes of playing. The second half also consists of 45 minutes. The total time of the football game is 90 minutes.
Football is not stopped until the match is over. It is played even in heavy rain and even in snow. It is stopped only when it is an emergency like a tornado, tsunami, sandstorm, etc.
A football team consists of 11 players, as I said before. One is the goalkeeper who defends the goal of his team and other 10 players try to score a goal on the other team’s goal and also try to defend their goal. The other team consists of the same number of players, and they do the same as the other team does.
Referee is the man who doesn’t support any team, instead, he stays in the football ground to see if anyone is doing a foul, or the football is alright. If anyone does a foul, he points it out and tells to stopping playing and gives the man a yellow card that did the foul.
A red card can be given when the same player has received two yellow cards in the same match, When the red card is given the team is forced to send that player out of the field and also is forced to play with one less player.
The length of the football field is minimum 90 meters and maximum 120 meters. And the width is minimum 45 meters and maximum 90 meters. But, for senior football, the recommended field dimension is 105 meters long and 68 meters wide.
Goal size is 2 meters wide and 1 meter high.
At the end of the match, one team wins and the other loses, or it’s a draw. A team wins when it has more goals than the other team, and a match is a draw when both of the teams have the same number of goals. A match can also be ended in mid because of some purposes, as I said before. When the match is ended in such a way, no team is declared as a winner or loser. The match is declared a draw.
