In past history, women always struggled to gain equality, rights, and the same respect as men. This has been difficult due to patriarchy, an ideology in which men are controllers or superior to women and have the right to rule and lead women. In our society men get more salary packages, women paid less or little as compared to me.
The global idea of feminism is the belief that males and females deserve equality in all golden opportunities, treatment, respect or esteem, and social or political rights.
There should be equal rights and opportunities for both genders.
Feminist theory:
⦁ Feminist theory is the extension of feminism into theoretical or philosophical fields.
⦁ Feminist theory aims to understand gender inequality and focuses on gender politics and power relations. While providing a critique of social and political, much of feminist theory also focuses on women's interests and rights.
In 1919, a lot of women stood outside the White House and demanded that they need permission to use the right for the vote in the next presidential election, they would. In the 1960s and 70s, feminist protests resulted in a series of laws that guaranteed, under the law equal rights in the workplace, in universities and colleges’ in health care, and in the home.
In the early 2000s, feminists courageously fought against such harsh forces as the word “too”’ frightening sports mascots and patriarchal serials.
Is Feminism about men-hating?
The word of Feminism is recognized as the time period has become synonymous with vitriolic man-hating but it needs to come back to a place where both men and women can embrace it. It is particularly very important for females in developing countries so that they can play an important role in society and support their nation.
People associate feminism with hate or men hate but what feminism is all about is really positive. Feminism is not against men it’s against misogyny.
(Misogyny is hatred of, contempt for, or prejudice against women and girls. It is a cultural attitude of hatred for females simply because they are female.)
This is how people are misunderstanding the actual meaning of feminism. The feminist movement is followed by three waves. The first wave in the late 19th and early 20th centuries pushed for political equality. The second wave, in the 1960s and 70s, pushed for legal and professional equality of both genders. And the third wave in the past couple of decades, has pushed for social equality of males and females.
Types of Feminism:
There are three different forms of feminism which are as below;

⦁ Social Feminism
⦁ Radical Feminism
Liberal Feminism:
It is a movement that believes all individuals should be free to explore equal opportunities and rights. Liberal feminists fought against a society that believes women are physically and mentally less powerful than men. Liberal feminism supports complete gender equality through social, political, and legal means which means women should have all these opportunities to stand independently.
Social Feminism:
This kind of feminism is named socialist feminism which is a movement that calls for an end to capitalism through a socialist reformation of our economy. Men have more power and money so they are dominant to women. Those men are prepared to share their money and power with other men, which means women are continually given the few opportunities and resources. This kind of act keeps women under the control of men.
Radical Feminism:
Radical feminism beliefs are based on the purpose that the main reason for women’s operation arises from social parts and institutional structures being constructed from male authority. Radical feminists view society as basically a patriarchy in which men dominate and oppress women.
In our society feminism is discouraged by the majority of men. So many people are misunderstanding the meaning of feminism. There is a huge need for men and women as well to understand the actual aspects of Feminism. All people should be afforded the same rights, opportunities, and respect.

In the past women were living unequal and unfair lives. After all those problems, suffering and misery women in the entire world started to find ways to improve themselves and to change positions in life. They also tried to join their efforts, dreams and wishes to form a universal idea that speaks about all women in any place in the world. This leads to the appearance of Feminism.
