There were many misconceptions prevalent in the society regarding this disease. However, even now many people see it by connecting it with ghosts.

Many times, a patient of epilepsy is also treated like a madman. It is necessary to mention here that epilepsy is also nothing but just a disease. Therefore, its patients should be taken to a doctor immediately. We are throwing light on the various aspects of epilepsy.

What are the symptoms of epilepsy?

Obviously, every disease has some or the other symptoms, on the basis of which we identify it. In the same way, epilepsy also has some initial symptoms. You should go to the doctor as soon as you see these symptoms. However, when epileptic seizures occur, it becomes very clear.

1. Completely unconscious or partial unconsciousness of the patient.

2. Biting your own tongue or becoming incontinent.

3. Constant rotation of the head and pupils of the eyes.

4. Stretching in the muscles of the hands, feet and face.

5. Confusion of the patient after waking up from unconsciousness

6. Disturbances in the stomach.

7. Medical identification: Experts say that despite all these symptoms, the patient's disease is determined only after medical treatment. The doctor checks the patient's pulse rate and blood pressure. Then after this also test the neurological sign. Along with this, the disease is detected by EEG, CT scan or MRI and stomach.

Here is the ayurvedic treatment for epilepsy-

1. Garlic-

Garlic has been used in Indian medicine to cure many diseases. It also removes the stiffness of the body. It has anti-spasm, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, which prevents seizures. To use it, you have to boil 5 cloves of garlic in a mixture of half a cup of milk and water until this mixture becomes half. Now consume this mixture every day.

2. Brahmi-

Brahmi is one such herb that Ayurveda recommends taking. It also reduces stress and protects the body from free radicals. It is very beneficial for the treatment of brain related diseases. It regulates the coordination of neurons in the brain, which helps in the treatment of epilepsy. A person who has seizures should eat 5-6 leaves of Brahmi daily. After this a glass of warm milk should be drunk. By doing this gradually the seizures will stop.

3. Basil-

It is common to find that Basil is a revered tree in Indian homes. It also proves to be very helpful in ending seizures. It also removes stress. Chewing Basil leaves daily or drinking a spoonful of BasilĀ juice helps with neuron coordination in the brain and does not cause seizures.

4. Ash Gord-

It is also called white pumpkin or petha, and it has also been described in 'Charak Samhita' because of its curative properties. It can prove to be very effective as a treatment for seizures. Grind the ash gourd and extract half a cup of juice from it. Drink this juice after waking up in the morning. This will stop the seizures.

5. Coconut Oil-

Coconut oil is very beneficial in seizures. This gives energy to the neurons in the brain and has a calming effect on the brain wave. The fatty acids present in coconut help in getting rid of epilepsy. Eat one spoon of coconut oil a day. If you want, cook the food in coconut oil or eat it by putting it on the salad.
