What is Digital currency?

Digital Rupee refers to a form of digital currency that exists solely in electronic form. It falls under the category of digital currencies, which are currencies that are exchanged exclusively through virtual means and do not have a physical presence outside of a computer network. There are three main types of digital currency, namely digital currency, central bank digital currency and stable coins. digital currency, such as Bit coin, is built on block chain technology, which is a commonly used distributed ledger system for digital currencies. The Reserve Bank of India  defines a Central Bank Digital Currency as a digital form of legal tender issued by a central bank. While it shares similarities with fiat currency, its form sets it apart. Digital currencies, on the other hand, are not considered money or currency in the traditional sense, as stated .
