What is e-commerce, and how to start an online business?

Hi All,
Before posting in this group or anywhere else that I have done EVS or VA training or something else, now I want to work for you and can do this for you, etc.
Please ask this question from yourself - Why would someone hire you to put their business at risk? You need to learn the art of selling!
The process of attracting an audience online and converting them into customers is evolving quite faster.  They are different approaches to sell your product in local and international markets.  If you are a successful seller in the Pakistani E-Commerce market, you don't need to succeed in the global market.
Today, I am sharing some tips that will help you master the art of selling both on local as well as an international

markets:

The first and foremost step of making a sale online is to IDENTIFY YOUR AUDIENCE and understand different types of customers to wish to attract.

Once you know what your target audience is, come up with the appropriate way of approaching them.  For example, suppose your product is for teens. In that case, you can promote it with catchy and bright-colored ads and posts on social media instead of emails sent to another category of mature people for grabbing their attention.
If you want to stand out in the competitive E-Commerce market, then you need to be innovative.  Do not copy what the competition is;  innovation is the real driver in any business.  It doesn’t mean that you need to ignore the competition altogether, as said, ‘Nakal kay eye b Akal ki zarorat hoti hai.’ You need to be different as well as better than your competition.
Staying at the top of the latest trends can help in boosting your sales.  The online world is evolving and constantly changing.  Social media trends also keep on developing all the time.  It would help if you were on top of this to be on the cutting edge of online marketing and branding.

If you desire to master the art of selling online, you need to leverage your existing relationships and develop a plan for your current clients that need to be as robust as your efforts to acquire new ones.  - If you want to bring your customer back around for a relationship-building experience, don’t leave them on the edge of a cliff after they make a purchase, instead give them little direction after the sale.
You need to use your website as the base of operations for everything you do online, not social media.  No doubt, social media is an excellent TOOL for engaging your audience but think of it just as a tool.
Before starting an online business in the international market, you need to identify the call.  You don’t have to trade with every country on the globe.  Know yourself that your product or service will appeal to the people in particular countries or not.

Most importantly, for targeting the international audience, you need to be pro at their language to deal with customer queries and complaints.  If you are not good at their language, you can hire someone for this, and if both options are not available, then it is not a good idea to start trading in that country.
Cultural differences can also be a challenge for Pakistani sellers.  While targeting international markets like the USA or UK, you need to consider that your product or service is relevant to their culture or not.  Do the homework first as there can be a massive difference in the markets of the two countries.
Begin with selling small stuff as they provide more profit as compared to oversized items.
