The best digital cameras are constantly changing, adding new features, and enhancing the old ones. Instead, photographers can blink an eye or use a voice command to tell the camera to take a picture. Facebook news smart watches can inspire digital camera manufacturers. Such small cameras are ideal because they can easily fit into a pants pocket or purse. Future cameras are likely to redefine this category with smaller size models. This prediction makes sense: The components of high technology inside the cameras continue to dwindle. So touch screens may come in to determine the camera size and remove all other controls and buttons, as they do with smartphones.
