The Greek word Diabetes mean siphon "to pass" and the Latin word mellitus mean "to be honeyed or sweet". Diabetes is a condition in which the pancreas doesn't work properly, because the secretion of insulin and glucagon become irregular or decreased. Diabetes must be treated properly as soon as it is diagnosed. In early stages it doesn’t hurt, or create any worrying symptoms. But ignoring it is a blunder, because living with an unbalance blood sugar can cause a variety of complications, even leading to death. It is caused due to mismanagement of carbohydrate metabolism inside the body.

 Types

1. Type 1 diabetes.

2. Type 2 diabetes.

3. Gestational diabetes.

 Sign and Symptoms

Diabetes is identified with the excessive production and frequency of urination, hunger, thirst and excessive loss of weight, blurred vision, and delay in healing of skin, repeated infection, dry skin, numbness of hands and feet and excessive fatigue.

 How to get rid of it's complications

If you are a Diabetic patient, I will tell you that how to maintain body weight because obesity is one of the risks amongst many for diabetes. However, I advise you to follow these steps because I know it as a pathologist from many years that what works and what doesn’t. One major cause for concern is adverse effects on our hearts. Our unstable blood sugar levels can cause poor circulation.

Six ways to get rid of high blood glucose level complications.

1. Stop drinking cocktails and drinks or beverages.

Drinking all types of cold drinks contain sugar and full of colors and preservatives, which may lead your blood glucose level to be high.

2. Cooking more vegetables and eating some fruits.

Fresh fruit and vegetables is the best way to get all the vitamins and minerals you need on a daily basis, and there are different ways in which to cook vegetables, but I find that raw is the best followed closely by steamed. These ways preserve all their natural goodness.

3. Drink more water as you can.

You have heard before many times that people say that drinking more water will protect your kidneys from diseases, but the benefits of drinking more water are endless. It is necessary to drink about eight glasses of water in a day to keep you healthy.

4. Daily exercise.

You may have to do exercise daily, about thirty minutes per day. Having no exercise on a daily basis your body can lead to obesity and as mentioned above that obesity can lead to diabetes and have high risk for heart diseases like hypertension. Various types of physical activity have been shown to reduce insulin resistance.

5. Avoid smoking.

Smoking is strongly associated to the risk of diabetes. You should to avoid it.

6. Eating fiber.

Eating plenty of fiber is beneficial for stomach health and weight management. Consuming a good fiber source in each meal can help prevent increase and decrease in blood sugar and insulin levels. Cucumber is a rich source of fibers, so use it in your daily food.

 Risks

1. Family history of diabetes.

2. During pregnancy.

3. Obesity.

4. High blood pressure or hypertension.

5. High level of cholesterol or triglycerides.

6. Inactivity and depression.
