What Is Depression? It's Types, Symptoms, Causes and Treatment.

According to doctors, what is known as depression is followed by feeling bad and not feeling well.  Among the various aspects of the treatment of depression are the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.  According to these rules, a depressed mind (‘low mood’), a lack of energy (‘low energy’), and a lack of enthusiasm (‘low interest’) are categorized as depression.  According to the famous psychologist Aaron Beck, depression is a combination of negative views about oneself, the environment, and the future.  Of course, you have negative thoughts, but you also want to read about their effects on your daily life.  In the language of the book, it is called - ‘Significant Socio-occupational impairment.’

 Does depression mean mental illness?

Depression does not mean mental illness.  What may seem like depression may be just an outward sign of complex disease?  It is important to keep this in mind, as both medical procedures and treatment outcomes vary from disease to disease.

In medicine, depression or depressive episodes are usually divided into unipolar depression and bipolar depression.  Depression also has its share of depths - mild, moderate, or severe.  It can come with various physical symptoms.  However, we, the common people, conclude that we are easily 'depressed' after seeing a couple of symptoms, but that is not true for the most part.

What illness or mental illness can cause fatigue or depression?  That list is quite long and complex.  The first thing that should be mentioned in this regard is schizophrenia.  Particularly significant are the manifestations of its negative symptoms (negative symptoms).  There are basically four types of negative symptoms of schizophrenia,

such as:

1.  Allogia

2. Effective flattening.                                 The cover of the US  N                                                             NIH Booklet on bipolar disorder (Wikimedia).

 3.  Decreased ability to feel good (Anhedonia), and

 4.  Loss of desire to start any work (Avolition).

The problem is that the symptoms often look like the symptoms of depression.  But biologically, the two diseases are completely different, and naturally, the treatment methods are also different.

Biologically, schizophrenia and depression are completely different, and the treatment methods are also different.

When it is too late to diagnose any disease or treat it incorrectly, the real disease becomes more and more complicated.  Even that disease can have a lasting effect on the brain (caused by a microscopic nerve injury or neuropathy).  The result can be anything from severe damage to mental health to loss of life.

Other diseases that are mistaken for depression include various physical ailments such as depression, substance abuse and substance abuse, conditional depression.  Along with this, there is a common saying, 'mood swing.'  But what you need to keep in mind is that depression is much more complex, far-reaching, and much more harmful if not treated in the right way at the right time.  The situation becomes more complicated when the depression becomes so severe that it leads to real unfoundedness.  In reality, such an idea is formed in the mind, and the patient's daily life is guided by that idea.

 Ways of treatment

The ‘A B C’ of medicine is observation.  Depression treatment also starts from there.  Keeping the eyes open, taking a thorough description of the disease, and documenting it is the first step in proper treatment.  There is no alternative to it today, and it may not be in the future.  Especially in psychology, this specialization is essential for the cure of the disease.  This practice starts from the second year of the medical course.  However, this special ability becomes more perfect by seeing patients daily, listening to and understanding their suffering.

One more thing to keep in mind in this regard is the ‘temporal correlation of events.’ Although the history of mental illness is very different from the history of other illnesses, the essence is the same: documenting one symptom after another and its increase or decrease over time, and at the same time, documenting the characteristics of those symptoms. This seemingly innocuous task is often complicated when the various symptoms come together. The patient or the patient's family has difficulty remembering which came first and which came later, or in many cases is mistaken, because of the long stay. the

That is to say, it is the characteristic of an experienced psychiatrist to understand the interrelationships of the various events in the life of the person concerned and its importance in a scientific way and record it neatly. This special ability comes only if you have a thorough knowledge of the content.  This ability becomes more perfect through seeing different types of patients and constant practice.  Study and practice is the path of a physician, and there is no end to learning.

Two other things are essential to mention as a treatment method - first, to determine the treatment method (i.e., admission or outpatient treatment), and second, to protect the patient from the tendency to commit suicide / self-inflicted injury.  If you are wrong or late in recognizing the disease, it can often be wrong to decide on both.  This means that there may be a deficit in determining the importance of the danger and its potential, leading to a catastrophic disaster and even death.
