The Russian annexation of Crimea (2014), the war (2014), military incidents,  and political tensions were all part of the conflict. In February 2022, Russia initiated a large-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, amid military buildups on Ukraine's borders in 2021.

So, what did Russia get in Ukraine?

"We will struggle to restore our home for as long as possible," Zelenskyy declared.

Moscow's Minsk proposals are commonly considered a ruse.

As per Al Jazeera's Dorsa Jabbari, reporting from Moscow, Russia's proposal for talks with Ukrainian in Minsk was "not going to happen," despite the Kremlin's apparent inclination for the Belarusian capital.

"The Kremlin has said that they are open to talks," Jabbari remarked, "but it seems that they are keen that this discussion  and debate in Poland."

"Of course, the Ukrainians have stated that they are open to establishing a format for discussion," she continued, "but the location is essential [for them] because we know that Belarus is one of the areas from which people have infiltrated Ukraine."

"Therefore it is quite vital."

Ukraine claims that a full-fledged conflict with Russia is 'possible.'

The confrontation between Russia and Ukraine has lasted seven years and cost the lives of so many people. However, Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, emphasized that full-scale warfare is still a possibility.
