Cancer is a condition in which some cells in the body grow out of control and spread to other parts of the body.

Cancer can begin practically anywhere in the trillions of cells that make up the human body. Human cells normally expand and multiply (via a process known as cell division) to generate new cells as needed by the body. Cells die as they become old or injured, and new cells replace them.
Spread the cancer in the body÷
Metastatic cancer is cancer that has spread from its original location in the body to another part of the body. Metastasis is the process through which cancer cells spread to different areas of the body.

Metastatic cancer has the same name as primary cancer and uses the same sort of cancer cells. Breast cancer that has spread to the lungs, for example, is called metastatic breast cancer rather than lung cancer.
Metastatic cancer cells, when viewed under a microscope, resemble cells from the initial.
How cancer develop in the body÷
Cancer is a genetic disease, meaning it is caused by mutations in genes that control how our cells work, particularly how they divide and grow.
Cancer-causing genetic alterations can occur as a result of the following fact.
A result of mistakes that occur when cells divide compounds in the environment, such as chemicals in cigarette smoke and UV rays from the sun, cause DNA damage. (For further information, see our Cancer Causes and Prevention section.)
They were passed down to us from our parents.
Symptoms of cancer÷
Cancer's signs and symptoms vary depending on which region of the body is afflicted.
The following are some generic indications and symptoms that are linked to cancer but are not specific to it:
Fatigue
Under the skin, there is a lump or a thickening that can be felt.
Weight fluctuations, such as unintentional weight loss or gain
Skin changes such as skin yellowing, darkening, or redness, open wounds that don't heal, or changes to existing moles are all signs of a problem.
Changes in the way you eat or how you use the bathroom
Coughing that won't go away or problems breathing
Swallowing problems

Types of cancer÷
Cancers are frequently called after the organs or tissues in which they develop. Lung cancer, for example, begins in the lungs, while brain cancer begins in the brain. Cancers can also be classified based on the type of cell that caused them, such as epithelial or squamous.

Difference between normal cell and cancer cell÷
Cancer cells are distinct from normal cells in a number of ways. Cancer cells, for example:
Grow in the absence of external cues to do so. Normal cells can only develop in response to such signals.
Signals that tell cells to cease dividing or die are ignored, a process known as programmed cell death, or apoptosis.
Expand to other parts of the body by invading neighboring areas. When normal cells come into contact with other cells, they cease growing, and most normal cells do not travel around the body.
