What is blog post

 

First of all, what is a blog post ? A blog post is a post on a blog. This post is going to be a list of things I want to say and I want you to read it. I want to help you out if you find any of my blog posts helpful. This post will not be useful to you unless you check my blog first.

 

Now that we got that out of the way. What are the possible topics to write about on a blog ? Some good possibilities are:

But before that I want to explain why people like to read blogs. I have read people saying that they find blogs useless and can be replaced by social networking websites like Facebook. People that say stuff like that are like school kids who have to read a lot. I can understand these people, to them a blog is not a personal journal. They think blogs are for children. But the difference between the blogs written by children and the ones written by adults is that children don’t have to think too much to write the post. They have no writer’s block, but it doesn’t mean they write anything useful.

 

Here is a perfect example from someone who doesn’t understand blogging at all.

 

These posts are useless and they are like school stuff.

 

 

After reading this I understand that he is using the word useless to mean useless. The problem is he thinks blogging is useless, too. Of course, we can’t blame him completely, he has never been a blogger. Blogging isn’t for everybody, it takes a different mentality. Most people don’t want to blog, so, if you aren’t a blogger yet, it will be hard for you to figure out how to start a blog. Blogging isn’t easy. But I will give you some advice to help you out.

 

The first thing you need to do is write something useful. Don’t start a blog just to say something. What will you say if nobody reads your blog post ? How will you feel if you only got a few readers ? What kind of impact will it have on the future of your blog ? How will it help you ? I can understand that not many people have the time to spend hours writing. But even if you don’t have the time, I know a few other bloggers who do. But even they don’t have the time to write 5 or more posts per day.

 

So, write something useful. I like to think about how I could make my posts useful to you. What would you like to see from my blog? I will try to cover everything on this list. Just be aware that most of the content on this blog will be related to web design. I will cover blog basics, the benefits of having a blog and some basic tips for creating nice looking blogs. If I decide to write about something else you will always know what to expect.
