What is Black hole?

Describe a black hole.

 

 A black hole is an object in space with gravity so strong and density so high that nothing can escape its pull. It is black and invisible because there is no way for light to escape.

 

 The event horizon, also known as the point of no return, is a limit at the edge of a black hole; any light or matter passing through it is drawn into the black hole. To escape, it would have to go faster than the speed of light, which is not feasible.

 

 Any object that passes the event horizon will plummet to the black hole's core and be compressed into the singularity, a single point with infinite density.

 

 How can black holes be found or captured in a photo if they are invisible?

 

 By hunting for signs of their strong gravitational attraction to nearby stars and gases.

 

 Additionally, even though the event horizon is invisible, there occasionally exists a spiral disc of gas outside of it that the black hole has drawn toward but has not yet absorbed into itself.

 

 That accretion disk's gases shine incredibly brightly as a result of being heated up as they move closer to the black hole. We cannot see the colors they emit, but an X-ray telescope can see them.

 

 The gravitational waves produced when two black holes collide have also been found by scientists.

 

 The dimensions of black hole

 

 Stellar-mass black holes are small black holes. Their masses, which range from five to twenty times that of the sun, are comparable to those of bigger stars. Supermassive black holes, which have a mass million, to billions of times greater than the sun, are the other type. The Event Horizon Telescope has been attempting to capture images of this kind,  since larger objects should be simpler to see. Although it hasn't been proven, there is some evidence that black holes between these two sizes exist.

 

 Despite their enormous size, black holes don't necessarily occupy a large amount of space. They are actually relatively little because of their extreme density.

 

 The width of the Island of Montreal at its widest point is 16 kilometers, and NASA estimates that a black hole 20 times the mass of the sun could fit inside this space.

 

 Where can one find black holes?

 

 Most galaxies, including our own Milky Way, have supermassive black holes at their center. The Event Horizon Telescope has been attempting to take pictures of several of them, including the one in our galaxy, known as Sagittarius A*.

 

 But there are more black holes in our galaxy besides Sagittarius A*. Astronomers have found 12 more black holes within three light-years of the galactic center so far this year, raising the possibility that there are more than 10,000 black holes in the region.

 

 What causes black holes to form?

 

 Although astronomers are unsure of the exact process, supermassive black holes are thought to form at the same time as the galaxy that surrounds them.

 

 When a star with a mass higher than three times that of the sun exhausts its fuel, stellar mass black holes are created. Albert Einstein's general theory of relativity foresaw this outcome, which involves the explosion of the object into a supernova and the subsequent collapse into an extraordinarily dense core that we know as a black hole.

 

 The dimensions and appearance of the black holes that the Event Horizon Telescope is attempting to capture are likewise predicted by Einstein's theory.
