Biomedical engineering is different disciplines with focus on the human body. It's about use mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, material engineering, biological and computer engineering to design equipment, devices and even medicine that are used in human body.

Engineers will design surgical robotics tools, implantable medical devices, 3-D printing for organs and other life-saving innovations. Biomedical Engineers need to have a very strong knowledge base in not only Physics and Math, but also Chemistry, Biology and Computer.
Biomedical engineers guide the doctors and medical staff with the operations of ventilators and biomedical devices at Intensive Care Unit.

Disadvantage of being a Biomedical Engineer:
It’s very broad, so to be competitive in the workplace you need to specialize in something that the industry values, such as electrical or mechanical engineering or computer science. And try as hard as you can to get industry work experience before graduating.
Do not be an inexperienced graduate.
The working world is much different than college and to be competitive in that world, you need to understand how it operates and what it values and what drives it. Then tailor your skill set accordingly
