Astrology is not a science, it is an art. Art of selling dreams. Everyone needs an emotional support, people want something more. And astrologers take advantage of it. They just not sell the dreams, but they make the people emotionally and intellectually handicap. People start relying on astrologers on almost everything. For marriage, business transactions, birth of children(many people consult with astrologers when and at what time the cesarean operation to conduct), and many more. And this business of astrology is flourishing in India since hundreds of years. And the sad thing is many educated, uneducated young and old people fell in the trap.
Anything that to get the authenticity to be science, has to fulfill the following things:
-Objective observation
-Evidence
-Experiment and/or observation as benchmarks for testing hypotheses
-Induction: reasoning to establish general rules or conclusions drawn from facts or examples
-Repetition
-Critical analysis
-Verification and testing
Astrology has been rejected by the scientific community as having no explanatory power for describing the universe. Scientific testing has found no evidence to support the premises or purported effects outlined in astrological traditions. Where astrology has made falsifiable predictions, it has been falsified.
Some people think that astrology is related to science and some think it is an art and superstition. But I believe that astrology is a combination of art and science. As we all know, astrology is connected with the stars and planets, and science is also connected with them. Many astrologers use scientific methods to analyze and study the positions of stars and planets and their effect on an individual's life. Like science, astrology also has a wide scope, it is like an ocean of knowledge and information. And to be considered the fact that astrology was found years before science and there are so many proofs of that.
I believe that everyone needs emotional support in their life, and astrology can provide that support. It helps an individual to believe in themselves, and it assures that they are on the right path. My opinion is that astrology is not superstition as it is connected with the universe and the universe is a part of the galaxy which is very scientific. Sometimes, we can not say astrology is a science or an art, or a superstition, because sometimes it is a very beautiful and magical thing, and when you get to know more and more about it, you can learn so many things about yourself, your surroundings, your personality.
Sometimes astrologers can indeed make a mistake, but that is because of a lack of knowledge. A true and good astrologer who does not work just for money but to help people will advise you properly. You must have to consult with a professional astrologer, you should never believe in some random astrologers.
We will never get the perfect answer to the question of whether astrology is science, art, or superstition. It will always be the topic of debate and discussion.
