What is Belly fat and what are the tips to reduce belly fat ?

The visceral fat that surrounds the liver and other internal organs in the abdomen, near to the portal vein that supplies blood to the liver, is referred to as belly fat.

Although the body may be harmed by this fat, abdominal fat can be reduced with the right steps. However, this does not endorse the technique of spot reduction. However, we examine what may be done to lose belly fat.

Contrary to popular assumption, those who have excess belly fat but a normal body mass index (BMI) are likewise at higher risk of developing the aforementioned health issues.

 *Sugary foods and drinks:*

Studies have linked a high sugar diet with extra abdominal fat. The additional refined sugar that was added during processing is primarily to blame. While too much sugar in any form is bad, drinks with added sugar are particularly dangerous.

 *Alcohol:*

Alcohol is another factor that could contribute to unexpected abdominal fat increase. One study found that men who consumed more than three drink s per day were 80% more likely to have excess body fat. Studies have linked excessive alcohol consumption to an increase in belly fat.

 *Sedentary lifestyle:*

Another important factor in the development of belly fat is one's level of activity. In contrast to individuals who did not exercise, a study found that those who engaged in resistance training or aerobic activity for a year after losing weight experienced a 25–38% increase in belly fat.

 *Stress:*

When under stress, the adrenal glands release cortisol, also known as the "stress hormone." Cortisol causes the extra calories to be deposited as cholesterol, while stress promotes overeating.

 *Genetics:*

Genetics may contribute to the body's propensity to accumulate fat in the abdomen, much as genes play a significant influence in increasing obesity risk.

One needs to adhere to a carefully designed regimen in order to lose abdominal fat. Here are some suggestions to lessen the buildup of fat in the abdomen area:

 *1. Get Enough Sleep*

Sleep has an effect on many aspects of one's health, including the development of belly fat. It has been shown that those who don't get enough sleep often gain weight.

Your body's levels of ghrelin, the hormone that makes you feel hungry, increase when you are feeling sleepy, while leptin levels decrease.

Changes in the metabolism, endocrine system, and glucose tolerance result with sleep loss. When you're fatigued, your brain's reward center is more active because you want something to make you feel good.

 *2. Drink Lots of Water*

Water consumption and weight loss are positively connected. Studies show that water helps the body to store  fat efficiently.

Drinking water throughout the day makes you feel full and suppresses your appetite. It's always a good idea to drink some water before eating a snack to determine what your body actually requires, because our bodies sometimes confuse thirst for hunger.

Water is, of course, the best "beverage" for quenching your thirst. Water is preferred over juice and fizzy drinks because they all contain sugar, which increases your calorie consumption.

Drinking a few glasses of warm water in the morning can help you lose weight.

 *3. Exercise regularly*

Daily exercise has been shown to aid in weight management. While this is undeniably true, there are various arguments regarding the intensity of daily exercise routine.

Your workout plans, on the other hand, should be proportional to your gender, age, and BMI.
