Artificial Intelligence
Introduction
Artificial intelligence is the thinking and creation of computer technology that can explain, understand. Work with the primary goal of building intelligent machines.
Demonstrating intelligence is more important than making decisions, thinking, solving problems, learning is an interdisciplinary field, in which serious research requires knowledge in computer science, linguistics, psychology, biology, philosophy, etc.
According to John McCarthy, the father of artificial intelligence, it is the science and engineering of creating intelligent machines, specifically intelligent computer programs.
Artificial intelligence is the way intelligent humans think. AI can also be defined as the field of computer science that deals with the ways in which computers can be made to perform cognitive functions attributed to humans.
But this definition does not specify what functions are performed, to what extent they are performed, or how these functions are performed. AI focuses heavily on the following domains of study.
1. Computer Science
2. Cognitive science
3. Engineering
4. Ethics
5. Linguistics
6. Logic
7. Mathematics
8. Natural Sciences
9. Philosophy
10. Physiology
11. Psychology
12. Statistics
Strong artificial intelligence
It's about creating real intelligence artificially. Strong AI assumes that machines can be sentient or self-aware. There are two types of strong AI.
Human-like AI, in which computer programs think and reason at a human level, non-human AI, in which computer programs develop a non-human way of thinking and reasoning.
Weak artificial intelligence
Weak AI does not believe that it is possible to develop human-level intelligence in machines, but AI techniques can be developed to solve many real-life problems. That is, it is the study of mental models applied to computers.
AI and nature
AI techniques inspired by nature are becoming popular these days. A new field of research is emerging called nature-inspired computing. Biologically inspired AI approaches such as neural networks and genetic algorithms already exist.
Challenges
It is true that AI has not yet achieved its ultimate goal. However, an AI system cannot defeat even a three-year-old child in many cases. Ability to recognize and remember different objects, adapt to new situations, understand and create human languages, etc.
The real problem is that we still don't. Not understanding how the human brain works, how we learn new things, especially how we learn languages and reproduce them correctly.
Requests
There are many AI applications that we observe: robotics, machine translators, chatbots, voice recognition to name a few.
AI techniques are used to solve many real-life problems. Special types of robots are helping to search for mines in the search for people trapped in the rubble due to natural disasters.
The future of AI
AI is the perfect field for dreamers. It should be prepared from the idea that it is possible to make a man a machine.
Although many people conclude that this is not possible, there is still a lot of research going on in this field to achieve the ultimate goal.
Computer usage has inherent advantages as they neither tire nor lose temper and are getting faster and faster. Only time will tell what the future holds.
AI, regardless of whether it reaches human level or superhuman intelligence.
