Imagine yourself meeting up your own version in another universes, and that’s how the multiverse works …
INTRODUCTION :
This universe is a mysterious place, where we live with our heads filled with millions and billions of questions about our own existence, our own home Earth and much more. The multiverse theory is the one which adds another question to our mind - What if “there are much more universes just like the one where we live in?”.
WHERE WE GOT THE IDEA OF THE MULTIVERSE?
The concept of multiverse arises from the laws of physics and philosophy, but it all mainly started after the inflation theory. Now let's see what is the Inflation theory ...
INFLATION THEORY - The theoretical evidence :
The inflation theory explains the hypothetical event that happened when our universe was very young, in fact less than a second-old. Within that small amount of time, our universe underwent a period of rapid expansion, inflating to become orders of magnitude larger than its previous size. The inflation of our universe is thought to have ended 14 billion years ago.
However, inflation does not happen everywhere at the same time, and it is possible that as inflation ends in one region, it begins in another and that’s where the theory arises.
Thus, we conclude that while inflation ended in our universe, it would have continued somewhere much more distant regions and would happen even today. Individual universes can separate themselves from larger inflating universes, creating an infinite universe and eternal inflation.
The point where the topic gets even more interesting is, during the eternal inflation, when universes would emerge with their own laws of physics, their own collections of particles and much more of their own. For an example : If a multiverse exists, then there would be random cosmological constants in different universes and the one that we have in our universe will just be a coincidence.
WHY DO WE SEARCH FOR MULTIVERSE ?
We search around alien civilizations and much more just for one thing, “LIFE”. We search life indirectly in many ways and the multiverse is one of them which still gives many scientists a hope about the existence of life. The idea of the multiverse isn’t about just one galaxy or one solar system. The theory of multiverse explains the infinite universes and that’s why scientists hope for life at least from any one of those infinite.
EXISTENCE OF MULTIVERSE - Physical evidence :
Many scientists tried to find physical evidence for the multiverse. They searched for distortions in the cosmic microwave background, any strange activities in the direction of the collision of the Galaxies and much more. But all kinds of searches ended with no kind of evidence and which still makes the multiverse - “A hypothetical theory”.
WHAT IF MULTIVERSE EXISTS ?
Imagine meeting an exact copy of you, reading the exact copy of this article. Of course, this sounds crazy and fascinating to imagine. The most unfortunate thing to deliver you is that the theory is still in the list of hypotheses. But I didn't mean it as it is impossible to find the existence of multiverse. But I would say, that doesn’t mean it is not possible, as our scientists are working on it very hard. Who knows, maybe in the distant future you can travel to universes and share your experiences with your own versions and for those moments, we have to wait for some more time.
