What is a Girl’s Guide to Waxing,

A Girl’s Guide to Waxing,

Self-care is an act of self-love. Sometimes, loving yourself calls for physical maintenance, like taking a yoga class and getting a manicure with expensive nail art.

If you don't take time for yourself, waxing or any other hair removal technique won't work on you the way it does on others. If you have skin rich in melanin and naturally frizzy or clumping hair,

This is not to suggest that it's arduous. The entire process may go well if you and your wax professional are prepared with proper guidance before you start the process.

The following are important steps you may take before and after for good results:

PREP

It may be tempting to saunter into the center, step on the wax specialist's board, and let them get to work, but a little medication may form a vital component of the entire procedure. The most recommended thing to do before your appointment is exfoliating the area you are trying to wax. Be sure to keep the body hydrated. Besides waxing the body, staying hydrated is also good for your health. If the hair is splintery and dry, it can break.

 At the center,

When you have prepped yourself and are ready to get waxed, it’s important to pay attention to the kind of wax your esthetician is using. If your hair is crimped and curly, use hard wax.

Hard wax and soft wax are both used for removing hair, and both are appropriate to use at home.

 Differences

 1 : Hard Wax,

This is the best option for thick, curly, small, and stubborn hair. Hard wax is very good to apply to soft and sensitive areas. Hard wax sticks to hair only, so that’s why when you take it off, it doesn’t hurt your sensitive areas. You don’t need a wax strip while using hard wax, as it sticks to the hair directly.

 2 : Soft Wax,

It is a good way to go if you are looking for an easy and quick way to remove hair. Soft wax is used to remove hair from large areas, like the legs and arms. When you apply soft wax to yourself, it also sticks to your skin, so when you pull it off, it takes off your upper skin layer too. Soft wax removes your hair while using a wax strip.

 DO AND DON’T AFTER WAXING

Keep your body clean, dry, and hydrated for at least a few hours. Avoid these things, which include sun tanning, heat, exfoliating the waxed area, applying fragrances, and any kind of chemical, because they could irritate your skin.

To prevent hair growth for a long time, you can apply some tips, such as exfoliating and not shaving, trimming, or twee zing the hair. Moisturizing the skin is another important step.

Applying moisturizer keeps your skin hydrated, and a moisturizer with any of these ingredients in it is good after waxing:

  1. Aloe Vera
  2.  Chamomile
  3. Tea tree oil
  4.  Lavender oil
