6G  is the sixth generation of wireless technology. A 6G network follows up on 4G and 5G, using higher frequency bands and agile, cloud-based networking technology to deliver record-breaking speeds and microsecond latency. 
As experts imagine it, 6G isn’t just going to support mobile phones. It could also be used for technology like automated cars and smart-home networks, helping create a seamless connectivity between the internet and everyday life.

The reason some experts are talking about 6G technology, though, is because big changes are in the works for internet technology in general. Consumers are using more devices and consuming internet data at record rates, incorporating Wi-Fi into virtually all aspects of everyday life. And wireless companies are rushing to compete with traditional, broadband internet providers, hoping to meet rising demand with robust and flexible cellular networks.
It is the planned successor to 5G, and will likely be significantly faster.  Like its predecessors, 6G networks will probably be broadband cellular networks, in which the service area is divided into small geographical areas called cells.  
It is important to note that 6G is not yet a functioning technology. While some vendors are investing in the next-generation wireless standard, industry specifications for 6G-enabled network products remain years away.

 What are the Advantages of 6G. Vs 5G

6G networks will operate by using signals at the higher end of the radio spectrum. 6G's higher frequencies will enable much faster sampling rates than with 5G. They will also provide significantly better throughput and higher data rates. The use of sub-mm waves -- wavelengths less than 1 millimeter -- and frequency selectivity to determine relative electromagnetic absorption rates is expected to advance the development of wireless sensing technology. 
Current 5G speeds range between 40 and 1,100 Mbps, depending on the type of 5G network you’re on. Maybe by the time we get to 10,000 Mbps (10 G bps) speeds, wireless companies will already be launching 6G. What’s clear is that 6G will be about a lot more than mere internet speeds.

When will 6G internet be available?

6G internet is expected to launch commercially in 2030. But nothing is set in stone—even the term “6G” could come out of favor and eventually be replaced by something else.

And it points to big ideas that a lot of experts have about how the internet could evolve in the coming years, making a big potential impact on the way we communicate, work, and live our lives.
