What if you have a high myopic number?

Hello everyone, you all know eyes are so essential to us. We can see the beautiful world with our eyes. It is one of the most sensitive, beautiful parts of the human body. One should take care of it properly.

Most of us end up getting glasses, be it myopia or hypermetropia. And having a high number is stressful. But nowadays, many options are available like LASIK, ICL, or simply following some steps to maintain the stable number discussed later in the article.

How to know if you need glasses?

You are the only one who knows the maximum about your body. Whenever you feel you are struggling to read or write, having blurred vision, having headaches, directly visit some nearby eye clinic to get, your eyes tested. These are some common symptoms to know that you may need glasses. People with 6/6 eyes should also get their eyes tested once a year. And of course, don’t panic!

Difference between myopia and hypermetropia

1. Myopia is an eye condition where a person cannot see things far from it. It is also called short-sightedness or nearsightedness, as you can see the close things.

The things that are far are not visible. To what extent you can see depends on the eye number you have. The higher the minus number is, the more poor the eyesight be.

I will be sharing some tips and ways to maintain healthy eyes below.

2. Hypermetropia is a condition where a person cannot see things that are close to it. It is also called farsightedness, as you can see the things that are far away from you.

The text closer to you will not be visible, and you’ll struggle to read it. Hypermetropic people have number in plus(+) like +2, +2.5, +5, etc.

Ways to maintain good eye health.

Taking care of your eyes is very important. You need to understand the theory that goes well here; precaution is better than cure.

I’m mentioning a few things below that’ll help you keep your eyes in good condition and healthy:

a) Have a balanced diet containing all essential nutrients that are needed by your body and eyes. It would help if you took multivitamins and minerals as they are not medicines. You can surely go for two multivitamins I consume;

i) COD liver oil capsules

ii) Bilberry extract, essential minerals tablets

(I’m not a medical professional, these generally have no side effects but consult your doctor if you like)

b) Follow a regular checkup routine to know the exact condition of your eyes.

c) Do eye exercises and a bit of yoga. Trataka is good for eyes where you focus on a point until your eyes become watery. Eye rotation exercises are also good to follow.

d) Have a good sound sleep. 7-8 hours of sleep is a must. If you can skip your regular late sleeping schedules and sleep on time, that can be a plus point as well.

e) Do not touch your eyes and face too often. You can use some lubricating eye drops if you feel you usually have dry, irritated eyes. You can also put desi cow ghee one dip in each eye. Read it in detail otherwise, and you may panic as ghee blurs the vision for 10-20 mins before coming back to normal.

f) Don’t take a lot of stress as regular stress and anxiety can strain your eyes, which can weaken the eye muscles in the long run.

These are some basic things one should surely know about eye health. These two are the most beautiful gift given by God to us.

Have a nice day to you all.
