Or would there even be a crash? Would Earth's gravity tear the moon apart? From Earth, how would this shattered moon appear? What would happen if the Moon collided with Earth? The Moon is the sole natural satellite of Earth and the brightest object in our night sky.
First, we need to learn more about our single satellite. The Moon was formed roughly 4.6 billion years ago, which is between 30 and 50 million years after the solar system was founded. The Moon has a diameter of 3,475 km and a mass of 7.35 1022 kg, or about 0.01 of Earth's mass. The Moon is also roughly a fourth the size of Earth. The temperatures on different places of the Moon are substantially varied. It can get as cold as minus 173 degrees Celsius (minus 280 degrees Fahrenheit) and as hot as minus 127 degrees Celsius (260 degrees Fahrenheit).

Because the Moon's atmosphere is so thin, much of what astronauts left on its surface hasn't been washed away. Our tides are caused by the Moon's gravitational pull on the Earth. The Moon is generally 384,400 kilometers (or 238,750 miles) distant from the Earth, which is about the size of eight Earths. The Moon's surface is littered with craters from comets and asteroids that have collided with it. There are more than 300,000 craters over a kilometer wide on one side of the Moon. Every 29 days, the Moon circles the Earth. Because the Moon's atmosphere is so thin, much of what astronauts left on its surface hasn't been washed away. What Happens If The Moon Collides With The Earth?
It is the first and only spot where people have set foot outside of Earth. The gravitational attraction of the Moon generates tides on Earth. Tides that may have encouraged life in our oceans to migrate to the land. This attraction also prevents the Earth from wobbling on its axis, which maintains our climate constant.
In summary, the Moon improves the quality of life on Earth. What if it suddenly accelerated and began travelling in the direction of Earth? When the Moon's plan to kill Earth by colliding with it approaches the Roche limit, it will shatter.
The Moon would break and never reach the Earth's surface. And that's going to look fantastic! But what is this Roche limit, exactly? It is the point in celestial physics where the gravity holding a satellite together is weaker than the tidal forces attempting to separate it.
In other words, the Moon can only reach as close to our planet as 18,470 kilometers (11,470 miles) before – BOOM! It would be ripped away by tidal forces. All the footprints and flags we've left on the Moon, as well as its craters and valleys, would scatter to form a 37,000-kilometer-wide ring of debris over Earth's equator (23,000-miles).

After Saturn, Earth is the second planet in the solar system to have this stunning ring of beauty. Our rings, on the other hand, would not survive long. Smaller bits of our former satellite, the Moon, would shower down on Earth first, followed by larger portions.
It'd be as if tens of thousands of asteroids slammed onto us, obliterating entire cities in the process. But, in reality, our difficulties would have started far sooner. The tidal impact of the Moon on us would intensify once it began its path towards the planet.
It would be creating tides as high as 7,600 meters by the time it reached the Roche limit (30,000 feet). An army of tsunamis would devastate our world ten times a day.
Solution to Global warming.

Waves so large that they would uncover the ocean's bottom and destroy everything in their path. Hardcore surfers, on the other hand, might enjoy surfing some excellent waves for a brief time. On the other side, this could be a way to combat global warming. The Earth's spin would speed faster as the Moon got closer. Our days would become increasingly brief.
Global temperatures would drop, and no one would be concerned about climate change. Unless the Earth is completely destroyed by asteroids. There would be no one to be concerned about. In any case, I wouldn't be concerned.
The Moon, in fact, is moving away from us at a rate of 4 centimeters (1.5 inches) per year. As a result, it's unlikely that we'll be able to glimpse those lovely Saturn-like rings from Earth.
