What if the Earth stopped rotating?

We know that the rotation of the Earth is slowly declining. But what if God, the devil or aliens suddenly and completely stopped our planet from orbiting its orbiting axis? Fortunately, thanks to advanced information about our planet, geologists can provide us with answers.

 

You can travel around the globe and live in a completely dry environment — ignoring freezing temperatures at night and high temperatures during the day.

 

Of course, if you suddenly let the Earth go round, the greater part of our planet would soon be homeless.

 

Half of the planet will probably experience continuous solar radiation, while half will deal with surface temperatures.

 

Life can continue in a small area of ​​darkness between the hot and cold half. But the equinox would gradually encircle the planet for a year, as the Earth made its annual solar orbit.

 

To make it easier to figure out what to do, let's pretend the sea is not hot on the cold side, or evaporates on the hot side. And let's just look at centrifugal force, which should be called high force.

 

In a few billion years, this energy, released efficiently, made the planet a little heavier in the center. So the Earth's current equatorial scale would be about 21.4 miles [21.4 km] above the horizontal axis of the Earth.

But seawater is highly mobile and responds to energy. So the earth's orbit around the earth has lifted these volcanic waters up to eight miles [8 km].

 

In other words, on the equator, because of the rotating Earth, the water is about five miles [8 km] higher than the Earth's orbit.

 

But today, in all the equator, the deepest part of the ocean is only 3 miles [5.75 km].

 

So remove the spin and remove all the water from the equator.

 

If the Earth were to stop rotating on its axis, the oceans would gradually move to the poles from the equator. Initially, only small terra firma regions around the equator could emerge from receding waters.

Water from the equatorial regions would have to be somewhere, and that 'some place' would be poles. There may be two tropical oceans completely cut off on each side of the equatorial mega-continent.

 

In the north, Canada will be completely submerged. And by following the US-Canada border today, the whole of Greenland, as well as the northern plains of Siberia, Asia, and Europe would be submerged. But Spain would stay above the water.

 

On the other side of the equator, a new Southern Ocean will begin at about the same line as the current Canberra. Africa will be merged with Madagascar, while Australia will be merged with New Guinea and Indonesia.

 

It turns out that the underwater hole around the South Pole is much larger than the one around the North Pole.

 

So a new south coast was at the bottom. Because it is a large and powerful 'vessel,' its sea level may be less than 1.4 miles [1.4 km] above sea level.

 

Now, it is not just the rotation of the Earth that has given us the current eight miles [8 km] of elevation.

 

Another factor is gravity. The poles are about 10 miles closer to the center of the Earth than the equator, so gravity stays a little stronger on the poles.

 

This could be another feature that draws water away from the equator.

 

Our rotating earth is actually declining. Billions of years ago, the Earth orbiting rapidly had a large bump around the equator, and billions of years in the future, a slightly lower Earth would have a smaller bump, and it would be closer to the center.
